2022 F150 STX Updates

Today I was driving by a local dealership and being unloaded were STX trucks and something looked off. I swung by after the dealership had closed for the day so I could get a better look at them. Turns out they no longer put fog lights on (some?) new STX orders. They had 3 come in and 1 of the 3 had fog lights. The window sticker build dates were about 2 weeks apart between the oldest and the newest date. 2/3 were retail green window stickers. They were all priced within $500 of each other.

The one with the fog lights had a line item "Fog Lights No Charge"

They may have just used up the remaining stock of allocated foglights for STX models, and now only STX w/ black appearance get them.

Just an FYI for anyone ordering an STX.

From what I understand the you need to get 20” wheels to get the fog lights with the stx. I have no idea why

My 2022 STX I got the other week has fog lights

It has 20" wheels, if that is what matters.

You might've also noticed, the 2022 STX does NOT have an upper glove box door. It's an open area w/ F150 in the back.

You might've also noticed, the 2022 STX does NOT have an upper glove box door. It's an open area w/ F150 in the back.

I looked in the one interior when I was checking it out and thought it was open. It's interesting to see what they have done to 'absorb' the materials cost increase on the trucks.

It's disappointing sometimes to see what features have been removed without any notes in the order guide. I understand you don't want to put it out in marketing literature, but at least have the dealers know so they don't show off something that could not be there in an ordered truck.

Not how I calculated

I optioned a 2021 and 2022 came up with a very slight difference. In the few hundreds, that's it. Same for same.

I also priced out my 21 Limited as a 22 and found it to be $9xx more. I expected more.

Oh. I didn't even consider that. My price was set, and with incentives, saved nearly $8k off MSRP.

Yeah mine has that open F-150 tray above the glove box too, but looks fine to me. one less thing to break TBH.
