So does losing the multicontour seats also mean you loose the lumbar and other adjustments that basic seats have?

I just sent my salesguy an email 'cause we needa talk. I've already given up active park assist, adaptive steerings. Now I have to give up Carmelo (I hate black leather seats) and the massaging for a pathetic $300 credit.

Not pleased to see this and churning over what to do. Ford shouldn't be confirming orders they can't fulfill. And certainly shouldn't be forcing customers to take a vehicle in a configuration they didn't order. I suspect legal minds may know more, but that acknowledgement form allows Ford to say the customer agreed to change their order to get around violation of terms agreed to.

I would strongly suggest if Ford has a commodity constraint, the right answer is to stop selling that feature/configuration for orders yet to be placed. And if they want to solicit people to change their orders for a discount/incentive, they can do that. But to force it without a choice, doesn't sit right.

I slept in the back seat of my F250 and it was the perfect length, also slept in the bed of my 05 F150 in El Paso, wouldn't recommend that one.

IMO Ford should either offer the model with options you ordered for MY23 with a price lock for when you originally ordered, or let you change to a 402/502A with the price protection for that model relative to the time you ordered your higher trimmed truck. Sounds like (aside from the black max contour seats) ordering a Platinum gets you nothing a Lariat wouldn't. Limited at least gets the HO 3.5 and Tremor/Raptor transfer case still.

Wonder if Ford's motive is to get people to higher trims to bail on their orders since people are locked in on price and there's been price hikes. They maybe loosing money on those order or making very little profit.

I'd say that's unlikely. It's more reasonable to think that the number of vehicles in the backlog with those features far outweigh Ford's ability to fulfill those orders this year - whic is further likely caused by the fact that the supplier(s) can't fulfill parts/chip orders reliably.

Is waiting for the 2023 model out of the question?

Also, for all you guys who sleep in your back seat, how big are you? I'm 6' 1" and 250lbs, and when I say 250lbs I mean 275.

Limited trim doesn’t get the HO 3.5 on the gen 14s.

So what happens with my order that’s already built since January but still on Chip Hold ? Are they removing those features from my truck?

I'd imagine you're good. Now for me on the other hand, I ordered a truck a few weeks ago and have not received a VIN or schedule date. I'd imagine my dealer will eventually reach out to me to sign documents saying I acknowledge they're removing standard options and giving me a credit

They aren't forcing anything. You can walk away. They're saying we can only provide this now, so you can take it or leave it. The declarations you sign is so they can't be accused of bait and switch (which is selling someone something different than what was paid for, NOT changing the deal before it's complete)

I would strongly suggest if Ford has a commodity constraint, the right answer is to stop selling that feature/configuration for orders yet to be placed. Isn't that what they are doing now? New orders have to spec the deletes, and this other mess is for orders placed but not scheduled for production?

Yeah, they're heading around to built trucks and harvesting parts for Lightnings. If your truck is already built, check your glove box for your $26 credit and complementary coupon for a free xmas ham.

HA! My 2009 Tacoma will probably be the last vehicle for me with a key. I'm going to miss that key. :(

With the way inflation is going, that ham might be worth a couple hundred bucks!

Raptor Interior Change (801A)
In addition, please be advised that due to these supplier shortages, Ford will be making in-cycle interior applique changes for the 22MY F-150 Raptor 801A. The appearance difference is the result of our need to execute an in-cycle supplier change to sustain F-150 Raptor 801A production so customers can receive their vehicles sooner. The effective date for this in-cycle change is May 6th, 2022. All units produced prior to this date will feature the current Coined Aluminum Applique. All units produced after this date will feature the Light Oil Rubbed Film Applique. Please note that the Light Oil Rubbed Film Applique is currently used on the 22MY F-150 Raptor 800A. The Carbon Fiber Applique is still optional on 801A and is not effected by this change. The impacted parts include the following:
  • Driver Side Door Panel Applique, Passenger Side Door Panel Applique, Driver Side Vent Bezel, Left Hand Cluster Bezel, Right Hand Cluster Bezel, Upper Glovebox Door, Passenger Side Vent Bezel
CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM
Customers purchasing an F-150 with Auto Start/Stop Removal, Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal, Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion® Removal, and/or without the Max Recline Seats, Carmelo Interior, and/or Adaptive Steering options must sign the attached customer acknowledgement form to acknowledge their understanding that the vehicle is not equipped with the feature(s) identified and they will not be charged for the feature(s).
Hmmmmm, I wonder if the price of the F150 will decrease.

Ham? I think you meant baloney. ;)

The f150 ICE model is now low model on the totem pole and if you didn't have the class to order lightning you deserve no better than a stripped down xl. Ignorant savages.... :ROFLMAO:
