Husky Weatherbeaters
I had a little welcome home present waiting for my truck when it came back. Threw in a pair of Husky Weatherbeater floor liners. I found them on sale at realtruck.com. They were about $50 cheaper than the AT guys.

I don’t drink coffee but it looks like my truck does! Seriously, I had the hood up to aim my headlights so I thought I’d take a peak into the catch can. I have heard before that condensation can occur in cold weather and it appears that is true. This was less than 1,000 miles after installing the oil separator. Probably just under half an ounce of liquid.

Nice! The first thing that I did when I got home from the dealership was taking off the 4X4 sticker.

I wish I could have also ordered the opening rear window in addition to LED headlights.
NICE TRUCK Supercharger right off the bat.Thats awsome. I ve got a 2021 rcsb XLT FX4 with 5.0 and also 3:73 gears. Race red and I love it. Looks like yourve already got you trucks future mapped out .Good Luck and enjoy

Truck is coming along good. Looks great to. would love to here your thoughts on how it rides compared to stock. Is it more stiff or jarring? What about noise from any of the bushings? Daily driver? Thanks.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, this is my daily driver but I work from home and don’t get out every day.

As for the ride, it’s far from stock. It is definitely stiffer and bouncier. I bought the performance kit because I liked the thought of the adjustability but at times I think I should have gone with the ride quality kit. I have considered removing the traction bars to see if that softens the rear suspension.

The compression damping is turned down to zero on all four corners. Rebound is set on 4 to help control some of the bounce but that is still a really soft setting. I think the stiffest setting is something like 24.

This performance kit is setup for drag racing and that is where it really shines. When I stand on the gas, the truck glues itself to the road. It’s really pretty amazing then. But that’s not really practical for daily driving.

As for noises, I didn’t have any at first, but 500 miles later, the rear shackles squeak like crazy. Bad part is there’s no zerk fitting to grease them. I have an appointment with the shop that installed the kit so they can check and re torque everything. I’m also going to see what they can do about the squeaking. If they can’t fix it, I might remove the shackles to drill and tap them for a zerk fitting.

My plan is to keep adjusting this kit to improve the overall ride. If I can’t get it where I like it, I might pull it off and install the ride quality kit. If that happens, I’ll sell these parts to recover some of my cost.

More powaaah!!!!
Added an AFE cold air intake today. This thing has to add at least 350 hp at the wheels! I mean, the word “power” is written right on it, (twice!) so you know it’s AWESOME!!!

I took it for a test drive and it just sucked the clothes right off the hot chicks as I drove by! I couldn’t stop at the lights because they were swarming my truck!

Seriously, I know the factory box is CAI but I just can’t leave well enough alone. Besides, I like the blue accent under the hood. The oil change guys are gonna dig it because nobody else will ever see it under there.

For those that are curious, there is no obvious difference in noise or performance. You should definitely go get yourself one of these anyway!

Well, I have finally had enough of the performance kit. The ride is just entirely too bouncy. Today, I ordered the quality ride kit, Fox shocks, and a helper bag kit. I’m probably going to add onboard air. I’m thinking about the airlift wireless kit. Stay tuned for updates.
