2021 RCSB build

Traded my 2016 SCrew 2.7 5.5’ bed for a 2021 RCSB 5.0. Couldn’t be happier to start this build! Starting off with simple bolt-on mods but working my way up to the IHC Performance drop and a Whipple supercharger.

This is the new 2021 RCSB

the first mod was to remove the 4x4 sticker from the bedsides. Simple removal with a heat gun.

Next mod was the tailgate assist shock. Every truck should have one of these.

Next was the Access Vanish bed cover. I know it’s not secure but it’s low profile and lightweight.

Bedrug was next.

Moving on to the stubby antenna. Some say they lost reception but I haven’t noticed a difference (yet).

Next was the JLT oil separator. When I popped the hood to install it, I noticed the assembler at Ford had left a large rubber band stuck in the factory hose.

Stay tuned for the Magnaflow exhaust next week and then the IHC Performance drop kit in February. I also have an Air Designs Cab Spoiler but the truck needs to be above 60 degrees for the install and I’m in Ohio in January.

Wheels are going to be Black Rhino Kunene 22x9.5 with Toyo 285/45/22 tires.

Forgot to mention the rear wheel liners. I bought them with Ford Pass points.

Took a short video of the stock exhaust for comparison after I get the Magnaflow installed next week.

Nice! The first thing that I did when I got home from the dealership was taking off the 4X4 sticker.

I wish I could have also ordered the opening rear window in addition to LED headlights.

Finally got the exhaust installed today. I have to say the interior noise level is a little more than I expected but over all it sounds great! There is no drone but you know the pipes are there.

Fair warning to anyone contemplating the Magnaflow kit, we didn’t find out until the time of install but their kit is designed for super crew cabs or regular cabs with 8’ beds. It is NOT designed for RCSB. My shop called Magnaflow to verify and they were like “yeah, we need to make that clearer.” To fix the problem, my shop had to cut off the flange and re weld it.

I’m still thrilled with the end result. The neighborhood is going to hate me though. ?
