I took delivery of my 2021 F-150 Limited 4x4 (Build number 0363) in Smoked Quartz yesterday after about three and a half months of waiting. She's a beauty. It's been a great 24 hours and everyone at the office, my neighbors, and especially my family can't believe how nice this truck is. It is definitely a far different beast that my dad's 1993 F-150 Standard Cab Longbed 4x4 that I grew up ridding in as a kid (Although I loved that truck alot and wish I still had that in the stable!)
So a few details on the order/build/delivery process for mine:
This is the "third" type of order that hasn't gotten much press over the last few months on the forum. It is a Fleet order, not a dealer stock or retail order. It is similar to a dealer stock in that it can be scheduled before OKTB, but because of the options, it didn't get scheduled until build wee 46 I believe it was (I went back when we finally got the build date and compared it to Bob's weekly updates and that was the first week that all options were available for my build)
I work for a construction company and we buy a dozen to two dozen trucks a year (mix of Fords and GM's) so we get them through a fleet program, not a dealership. We spent about a month watching the build information come through in August and early September, reading all the news we could find (this website being our #1 source...thanks everybody!) and once build and price went live we finalized the option list and sent it in for ordering.
Here is the timeline from order to delivery:
Because it is a fleet vehicle, I have yet to track down a copy of the window sticker. It won't pull up on traditional sites, and the original was not in the truck when I picked it up at our shop. Here is the link to the www.f150gen14.com/forum/pages/tracker page for it though.

I also have this from our order paperwork:
I've only put on about 30-40 miles since picking it up. I've been too busy letting everyone that has been around check it out and acting as a spokesperson telling them all the features. We will probably take it for a family spin tonight. We have a chance of some snow here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area tomorrow so we might be able to check out the "Snow" drive mode
I stopped on my way to Lowes this morning and took a plethora of photos at the local park. Here you go....
I'm short on time this afternoon so I'll try to come back another time and add some captions to what some of the pictures are, but overall all I can saw is WOW! This is an awesome truck. Can't wait for all of you that haven't to get your trucks. And for those on the fence about waiting, I would say stay the course. It was definitely well worth it. I considered at one point looking into switching to an F-250 when it looked liked things were not going our way, but then we found out the build date was mid December so we stayed the course! I am glad we did. I think this will be a joy to take on long road trips during a time when we can't fly like we used to.
One final picture....I did put my first accessory on this afternoon. It's been on every vehicle I have driven for 20 years since I graduated form Arizona State. (It's in need of a good polish and a repainting of it's letters...this will be only the second time I have had to refresh the paint on the letters but it will be well worth it this time!)

Here is the timeline from order to delivery:
- 9/22/2020- We ordered the truck through our Fleet partner (Enterprise)
- 9/30/2020- Date Ford Received the Order
- 12/18/2020- Production Date
- 12/29/2020- Ship Date
- 1/5/2021- Date the truck arrived on the train and was offloaded and waiting delivery to the dealer (Probably around noon because someone canceled my activation request in the MyFordPass app then )
- 1/6/2021- Truck was delivered to our nearest dealership for final prep/delivery about 1:30 PM(Fleet vehicles are still delivered to a local dealer for prep and delivery like any other order)
- 1/8/2021- Truck was ready and picked up by our equipment manager about 12:30 PM. I picked it up from the shop and loaded up my stuff from my old ride (2017 Expedition King Ranch) and picked up my kids by 3:00 from their school. (They were quite excited!)
