Purchased a new 2021 White King Ranch Powerboost on Monday (technically finalized purchase yesterday) and before taking possession I had them install a 2” level kit and 35” Nitto RidgeGrapplers. They tinted the front window to match the back and tinted the front windshield. They also installed a Retrax Tonneau cover.

I was looking for a simple upgrade to the stance and appearance. I personally prefer chrome over black. I love the stock rims and the offset they provide

Took them a day to get everything done and I had to wait until yesterday to pick her up (patience is not my strong suit).

Summary:
  • 2” Level Kit
  • 35” RidgeGrapplers
  • Tinted Windows (to match rear)
  • Tinted Windshield (50%)
  • Retrax MX Tonneau Cover
Here’s a few pictures. I will take some more at different angles in case anyone is interested.

Hope my new F-150 likes it as much as I do!!

I don't think this is quite true as the Nitto website specs show:
35x11.50 being 34.76" x 11.42" (on 9.0" wheels) 71.40#
285/65 being 34.80" x 11.50" (on 8.5" wheels) 63.71#

so they are very similar in height/width but the 35x11.50 are considerably heavier

I also wonder what the difference is and if there are situations where one tire performs better than the other?
That is the basis for my original question. I am considering 285/65's and I really like the look of this truck, but I sincerely believe there must be pro's and con's between the two different tires. I am leaning towards the 285/65 simply due to weight, but curious if there are other factors in favor of 35x11.50?

I was just going by the tire size comparison site. I should have thought to use Nitto's. Good call, though the OP has 35/12.5 so they are 12.52in wide according to Nitto.
The tires are 35 x 11.5

NP - I'm trying to decide which tire/size to go with so I almost have the Nitto site memorized! I did see both 35x11.50 and 35x12.50 mentioned so not sure which the tires are but in any care the 35x** are much heavier than the 285/65 but they are all LT rated -seems to me going with the lighter tire would help MPG - are there any situations the heavier tires would be better?
The 35x11.5 is heavier and has a deeper tread depth then the 285/60. That’s the only difference I’m aware of.

WIth that said, I didn’t do much research comparing the difference in these tires. I like the heavier tire for traction and the additional tread depth seems like a benefit (at least it does to me).

I told them I wanted the 35” RidgeGrappler and they had the 35x11.5 in stock and they said the 35x12.5 would rub (which I obviously didn’t want). So, the 35x11.5 is what she’s wearing for the foreseeable future!

Hope that helps...

I just got a call from my dealer who is installing my leveling kit and air bags on my '21 lariat. They're saying that there are sensors for the following headlights directly in the of where both mount. If they disconnect the sensors it lights the dash up with errors. How did you lifted or leveled guys solve this problem?

Any chance we could get a picture down the side of the truck to see how much poke there is? Thanks!
I’m not sure if this is what you were looking for but if you want something different, let me know and I can take some more photos.

I’m not sure. My dealer installed everything, adjusted the headlights, and adjusted the speedometer. No issues or errors.

What dealership if you don't mind me asking. I'll pass the info along to my dealership that says that it can't be done.
