2021 Ford Limited F-150 Hybrid Powerboost Whining issue

I've had my F-150 Powerboost 4 weeks and had not noticed bur maybe because of volume of
sound system. First noticed when turned volume down with friends in truck. Was very concerned
until reading these post. Do plan to have it investigated by Ford Dealer.

You're welcome to check out my experiments are cross correlate with sound levels you are experiencing. I noticed there are 4 levels of idle sounds: Electric ON (in park), Electric ON (in park) with foot on brake, Electric ON (in drive) with foot on brake, Engine ON

I duct taped the speaker under the truck and it did seem to quiet the noise a little.

I get the whine on my PB, had it 1 week...1600 miles. I will note when it is noticeable and report back.

Just got mine today and noticed the noise as well. I test drove one a few weeks back with windows up and didn't notice. Same on mine until I put windows down with audio volume low.

Service at dealer and salesman (has a PowerBoost too) said it is normal because electric is too quiet and this alerts others. Same as backup noise.

Yep. Curious if this is normal or not. One of the big benefits to the onboard power is a lack of noise compared to a generator. But having to listen to the angry bees all night while camping would not be ideal.

Purchased the Hybrid model last week and experience vibration, noise when accelerating uphill at any speed. Noise is consistently every second while driving uphill. Does not occur at any other time.

No. Mine is smooth at all times.

Its definitely the pedestrian warning speaker. Have similar noise on mine coming from the speaker. Wish it was customizable like the Tesla's. Love the one that makes them sound like a space ship.

Where is the speaker? I’m looking now and having trouble finding exactly where it is.

Mine does it randomly, it’s almost like the speaker is somehow picking up feedback. Not sure if this is related, but the Nav screen randomly blacked out one night and made a crazy high pitch noise thought the speaker system and I had to pull over and turn the truck off for it to go away. Annoyed with the electrical gremlins within the first 3K miles.
