The build and price configurator on Ford.com lists the following for running boards:

6" Extended Chrome Running Boards
6" Extended Dark Grey Accent Running Boards
Accent Color Angular Step Bars
Chrome Angular Step Bars

The build & price tool doesn't show any visual differences yet. Does anyone have any pictures or information on the differences and what they look on an F-150 (even on the gen. 13s)?

The online chat can help. I don’t have the pics, but they exist. At least the chrome ones are just black extensions off of the end of the Standard chrome ones.

This is the KR that have the deploying boards but I'm not sure the fixed ones are the same length.

been watching a lot lately and i sure do see a lot of the
rear caps missing on some of these running boards
i wonder if theres a flaw if they cant handle a little brush
or bump while hunting or 4 wheeling

Thank you, Currybob and Ace. I think the ones that come standard (according to the pics on the Build & Price) look good, just wanted to see what the others looked like.

Ace, I wonder if you have to get a whole new board, or if the caps could be replaced?

Bumping this. The standard are shorter than the deploying ones. What I can’t figure out is if the “extended” static ones are chrome all the way, or just black extensions.. anyone know?
