I purchased these from Stage3 about 4 years ago for my 18. I used them for just short of 4 years towing all over the country. I think I hit 26 different states and I never experienced any issues with "legality".

At night they definitely present a "big truck" type attitude in folks rear view because it often seemed like they would kindly yield the passing lane. (I might have just imagined it? )

I did the same thing for my Powerboost but went with five lights

Im assuming these are the f150LED Extreme LED grill lights? I want to do the same thing, 5 lights in amber. How did you run the wiring? Did you running 3 of them to one DRL on one side, and the other 2 to the other DRL on the left side?

I saw a truck today with these 5 amber lights. Looked really good.

Take a look on eBay the ones that snap in the back of the grill and are plug in play 50.00 for the kit and look like oem .. they’re not round like the older models were anymore …
