I don't believe that the exhaust heat exchanger is even part of the coolant loop for the Hybrid equipment.
Do you happen to have a diagram of the traditional ICE cooling loop ?I don't believe that the exhaust heat exchanger is even part of the coolant loop for the Hybrid equipment.
Unless I read the service manual wrong, it is part of the traditional ICE cooling loop.

I think Bruce is right! The "Exhaust Heat Exchanger" (item 20) is indeed connected to the "Heater Core" (item 21) which is responsible for cabin heating.
