My truck has 4,000 miles on it. At about 3,000 I was driving and got an overheat warning. Took to dealership and my coolant level was almost empty. They said they checked for leaks and couldn't see any....filled it up. I am about 3 weeks and 1,000 miles removed from that and my coolant level is already back down again. I took it to dealership about two weeks ago and they did pressure tests and everything and said they could not find a leak....said it might have been an air bubble from the electric part of the engine. Checked again yesterday and coolant was even lower....stopped by dealership and they told me to let truck sit all day at work, make sure engine was cool when I checked....I did and the level was even lower. The pictures attached....one is from yesterday at 9:30 am and one is from today at 2:30 PM. Any thoughts on what is happening? Some sort of internal leak that can't be recognized with a pressure test?

Have you checked your oil? See if the level is high and milky-looking. Look at the oil cap for a milkshake forming on the inside of your cap

I noticed a minor coolant leak under my '21 powerboost, beneath the exhaust by the heat exchanger (?). I think it's where the battery coolant loops through the exhaust for warming (?). Anyone else experiencing this? It has leaked about 1-2oz of coolant every 8 hrs or so, judging by the small puddle.

Will get pictures later.

Search the forum, i recall seeing a similar coolant issue but dont recall how it was resolved. Let us know what it was causing coolant to mysteriously evaporate

@cdavis , did you ever get a resolution to your problem? I've been checking my coolant daily now and must refill it every week.

Just had mine serviced today to address the leak. They replaced a "reservoir". (Apparently there's a reservoir on the underside?) Just checked thus evening and, sure enough, it is still leaking coolant from the exhaust heat exchanger.

There is a pan on top of the exhaust heat exchanger assembly with a plastic part connected to it. In my case it leaks where the plastic part connects to the (metal) pan. Possibly a gasket issue. I have a video of it here. Unfortunately, I could not find any documentation about this part disassembly, it seems Ford just replaces the entire heat exchanger assembly. The problem is, this part is on national backorder with no ETA when back in stock.

same issue with my 2022 PB. built early Jan. drove 2,000 miles from Granger back to South Florida and was overheating at lower speeds.

dropped the truck off 10 days ago and havent seen it since. who knows when i'll get it back.

They ordered me a whole new heat exchanger but its backordered.

same here. Truck is at dealer for about 10 days as of today, they opened a P1 Emergency Order with Ford for the part, which is on national back order with no ETA off backorder. The dealer also told me there were 200 P1 orders in front of me at the time of opening it with Ford. Seems to be a wider issue with Powerboost and smells like a recall coming soon. This whole thing sucks big time. I love my truck and I miss it dearly. They gave me a full size car, Dodge Charger as a rental.

Hi there, I have the same issue My powerboost leaked 1.5 kms from home on February 24, 2022 towed to dealer with 2962 kms (1840.5 miles), and as of today March 23 2022 no eta on new exhaust heat exchanger to fix my vehicle part# ML3Z-5A212-V. my truck was built on January 6, 2022. FORD NEEDS TO GET THERE ACT TOGETHER. Iconic vehicle and they are having these kinds of problems.
