Here are some photos of the F-150’s partitioned and lockable storage underneath the rear seat. It appears the partition is a 60/40 split aligning with how the seats pull up. Keep in mind, this storage area is also supposed to fold flat so the whole floorboard can be open.

From the photos, the storage compartment looks like it is constructed of plastic ..... is that the case?

Looks like the battery/generator location for the non powerboost propower system. Do you have the 2.0 kW version?

Yes I do. I was curious as there is a box under both rear seats. I was not sure and the dealer was not much help

Yeah that’s your 2.0kw propower onboard generator then. Ive heard there is a small fan in there so if you hear a small whining noise behind you while driving that’s it!

MNStang is dead on. On PowerBoost models, the hybrid battery is the inverter/charger for ProPower On Board.

For gas only trucks, the inverter is added on and underneath the rear seat. That’s what you have pictured and circled in red.

Guys, do you have to remove the seat to access these, or just push it up against the backrest? This looks like a great option, unless you have to take out the seats every time you want to remove something!

Only have to fold up the seats. Just like in the picture.

Howdy Fellas. First post on here.

So with the pro power 2kW exhaust fan pointing toward the driver side, I would think rear under seat storage units like this should be no problem. Or am I missing something? FWIW, the passenger side has a smaller looking unit as well. Tho I don't think it has a fan. (runs to truck to look)
