My build date is/was tomorrow....

Mine too.I'm happy my chip is on the train heading to Texas
Given it’s just a week delay, I would hope so.Just read where both f150 plants are going to just one shift and cutting the second and third shift due to " chip shortages ". I ordered a new 150 on 011621. Am wondering if I will even get the truck this year ?
Cutting 2 shifts (out of 3) in Dearborn for 1 week; cutting 1 shift in KC for one week.Last I saw, only cutting shifts for one week
My truck has a scheduled production weekend of 2/1/2021. Last weekend the status screen showed a change in status to 'scheduled for production'. Looking at the status screen on Saturday I noticed that there is now a date under the title.Sucks.. For those who already have a Feb build date, and have gotten their VINs, does this mean the parts/chips/etc. have already been set aside, or...?
Definition of bread and butter most vehicles or highest profit margin? My Limited is still on the schedule this week.Rough rough estimate: 580 F-150's are completed per shift (one every 53 seconds). So, each day Ford is dropping 1,740 trucks from production. If I recall, they run 7 days a week, so a one week slow down will cut 12,180 trucks. In the scheme of things, that is not a lot. Unfortunately, approximately 8,120 of those trucks are in Detroit, many of us are waiting on 502A Lariat, 700A King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited trucks. (BTW, XLT and Lariat are their bread and butter, so its not shocking that the majority of production cuts come on the high end trucks).
Statistically speaking, the XLT and Lariat trim are the two strongest sellers for Ford. They account the bulk of F-150 sales. I don't know the breakdown specifically, as it has been years since I was in the industry, but the dealer I ordered through said it was unlikely they would see another KR, Platty, or Limited come through unless it was customer ordered. They stock almost exclusively XLT and Lariat trims, as that is the bulk of their sales. As the XLT and (most) Lariats are produced in KC, it is a no-brainer that production was cut more steeply in Detroit.Definition of bread and butter most vehicles or highest profit margin?
