First time thread poster. I just placed an order with Granger on 10/21, just received my build date of 11/28. Granger said it could take 5-7 months. This is moving way faster than i thought.

Same here! I also received an updated email this morning saying week of 11/21. I'm sure the chance of the date slipping is high, but I was wanting the truck in the spring. LOL Looks like it may get exposed to it's first winter weather sooner than I thought!

So I ordered on October 18th not expecting my truck for 6 months… got a confirmation from Ford through my dealership (Canada, go figure) on October 25th and today got my VIN and build week of November 28th at the Kansas City plant.

I’m sure it will slip but I’m surprised at how quickly it progressed.

Got her window sticker around 10/20/2022, last 4 of the vin is 1467 (surprised how low the vin number is, used to higher numbers)

Blend date was 10/27, website is saying "in production" 10/28. Blend number is 6994.

Seems to be moving along fairly quickly, wonder if any supply issues will pop up?

Unless I overlooked it, is ford making the entertainment screen a 12' inch, or it's a 8 only? One of the documents floating around should it may be a standard 12 inch, but wasn't seeing a option for that on the 2023 build page (unless I overlooked it?)

Ended up letting the dealer take over my order as I found a good used `21 model and got a big discount. Too much possibility of delay and I had traded in my F250 to capitolize on the used market earlier

I believe the standard is 8" and depending on the option pkg you get it is a 12"

Receiving a VIN does not have much to do with it, at least I don't think. Receiving a target build date maybe but not the VIN.

What dealer did you go through? That has a significant role in getting your truck into the Ford Systems.

then maybe your right and it is something you picked. I believe one of their selection cryteria is the trim levels. I believe Ford does select based on that. I ordered a Lariat from Granger on 10/4 and had the VIN on 10/13.

From looking at these post the time between order and build are all over the place. I placed my order on 10/29/23, Lariat with EB, confirmed the same day. Now I just waiting as patiently as I can. Just got my, hopefully one and only, Dear Customer email. Got excited when I saw an email from Ford for about 2 seconds.

I was shocked when I received a VIN and future build date only 47 days after my initial order. What's also odd is that I appear to be the only one on the forum with a build week of 1/16. Mind you, I'm not complaining but it certainly seems strange.
