2021 F-150 Mod Wishlist

You may want to skip that BullBar. The Offroad community calls them "Damage Multipliers". And that's because if you do hit an obstacle, those bull bars are sure to cram up into your grille/radiator/bumper/etc.. The mounting point becomes a pivot and the upper portion crams into your truck. Up to you, of course.

Has anyone come across a grille-guard that doesn't do this? As someone who has remarkably bad luck when it comes to mixing cars with deer, and has already totaled out one F-150 to those long legged bastards, I've since sworn to myself that if I ever got another truck a grille-guard was going to be my very first aftermarket accessory purchase. However now that I've seen these I'm questioning that decision. Does anyone know of a brand that actually will take the brunt of an impact and not just fold over and total the front end? Not messing with any sensors and/or cameras would also be a bonus.

Almost 500 miles on it already

ordered it October 8 just got it a couple weeks ago
Here’s what I’ve done so far

I instalthe rear wheel liners and these mudflaps by myself
I think I’m going to remove the chrome pieces on the mudflaps too much chrome

Alamo truck and gear installed the premium line X bedliner and they install ed the retrax Electric aluminum cover

Weathertech floormats
Weathertech bedliner

Clear bra : I did complete front bumper and complete hood
fender wheel wells rear fenders and A pillar partial top of cab roof

Complete window tint including front windshield and extra tint in the top

Waiting on electric retractable bumper steps to come out

And waiting for maybe a different exhaust to come out That the Ford dealer will install that will not void the warranty

Put my old backflip cover on
Front and Rear Splash Guards
Line X
Tint front side windows to match rears
cut tail pipe off at bracket
change 4X4 decal to what I had on my 2018-see photo

Where did you get the FX4 decal at?

I'm a bit of a nerd, and, unfortunately, I've had 6 months from order date to figure out exactly what I want. Thanks to everyone on this forum for sharing their knowledge with this first-time truck buyer! Now, if only my truck will hurry up and get built (3/19) and a quick delivery!

Not that I know of. Grille guards/ Radiator hoops seem to only be good if they're attached to a very stout steel or aluminum bumper.

Where did you get the FX4 decal at?

Got it here and there are tons to choose form. Very good quality, had one on my 2018 and still looked new when I traded it in.

Beautiful truck SUPERZ! I'm really digging the LINE-X and the Retrax! I might have to add those too once I get mine. Is that truck color Antimatter Blue? Blue is my favorite color but actually went with the Smoked Quartz this time. I know it has blue in it too and I'm okay with that.

We got our 2021 f150 limited powerboost.
working on mods.
the 1st one I was not able to complete at this time. brought it to my local mod shop.
to have them Install https://www.putco.com/blade-led-tailgate-light-bar
they called putco and was told they have not designed a connector for the new hybrid engine.
Has anyone installed any tailgate light bar on a f150 with the powerboost. any tips or tricks on how to accomplish this?

what I had to go through to get this truck.
put a deposit on one with local dealer. been in shipping for 6 weeks.
and we were settling as it did not have the max recline seats we really wanted in either white or silver.
my wife really wanted max recline seats.
2nd dealership 2 hrs away . just south of New Orleans Had what we wanted expected delivery within the week. after 2 weeks got antsy.
started looking for any within 12 hour drive of Mobile AL.
After 2 weeks and neither of the 1st two options available.
I became aware of how hard it is to get this configuration of the f150 with max recline and work surface.
Found one @ Mooresville ford in NC. called and messaged ,girl got back to me that it was just being pulled off the truck and needs to be dealer prepped. and that they had 13 people on a list they had to call when it came in. I said did any leave a deposit. she said no . I said give me a Price i can live with and I will start driving the 600 miles that way. I put a deposit on it and drove to NC and within 24 hrs from that call we were on our way home with new truck. my other truck is a 16 f150 Lariat. this new limited powerboost puts it to shame. my wife called it a unicorn cause of the difficulty locating one.

Yes, Antimatter blue, Wolf MAN. This electric retrax is great. locks wherever you stop it.
The premium Line X is worth the money. Could not get smoky quartz in single cab. Or I would have chosen it. it is a pretty color. 5 frigging months of waiting for this thing. ha!!

Ya the wait is definitely a bummer. I've gotten impatient with mine. Sometimes I think about telling them to cancel the order completely then come to my senses when I realize I don't want to lose all the cool tech and have been a Ford vehicle man for over 40 years. Sometimes I think about asking to have the order pushed to the 2022 MY but hanging with current order for now. Hoping by the time they build mine I won't have any of the rust issues.

Would you mind giving me an idea how much the Line-X and the Retrax cost you? I'm guessing the photo of the key fob is for the Retrax?

All I did was put a rubber mat and the weather tech mat both on top of the line X. Haha. So I think premium line x was waste of money for me

I put stickers on my back window and on the side of my truck where the FX4 stickers were. I think they turned out well.

I also added my free splash guards as well. I ordered the wheel well liners. I'll put those in later.
