Are you spending time idling? Is that when the fumes come in? If it happens while driving it would seem like and exhaust leak
Happens for both and no exhaust leaks. It's sucking in fumes from the outside. The truck is not a diesel and get a STRONG smell from those especially when sitting at a light near them as well as driving behind them.

I just thought I'd share, these were taken in my garage so some light but mostly indirect.

Below is stock which I believe was 10% (not positive), the top is the 60% I set it at. Big improvement. I may go brighter, but I wanted to start small.

That is a big difference, I can assure the Lightning isn't adjusting like that. Not totally sure I expected it to, but was hopeful.

To switch them at 60% I just need to type "3C" in
BCM726-38-01xxxx**xxxx--
Where the "**" is? I'm new to forscan and don't know what "3c hex" and "4c" hex means

Just to confirm .... vehicles delivered OE with the value "0" in the indicated address / position do not have Fake Engine Noise, is that correct?

(e.g. my 2022 3.5EB Lariat 500A without B&O)

That is my understanding. I believe it is only the B&O systems that do it.

Correct, when doing Forscan stuff, find the line 726-38-01, then there will be 3 boxes with 4 numbers/letters in each, find the location where the 2 ** are in the line and replace whatever is in that position with the new value.
For example it would look like this (my numbers are fake)
726-38-01 5555 7777 2222 (Factory)
726-38-01 5555 3c77 2222 (60%)

Has anyone found and verified working way to disable the HVAC switching to fresh air when it's cold out yet? I have tried the Forscan codes for HVAC posted up and no such luck. It still flips at random to fresh air if the air temp is set any warmer than the outside temp and fills the cab with exhaust fumes. Even with an activated carbon filter it's bad. Not as bad as the Ranger was but still enough to cause my asthmatic kid issues.
I haven't found a way to do this yet either. The earlier thread's changes seem to work only when the A/C is on. Now when my A/C is on, my recirc stays engaged most of the time, but when I just set the temp without A/C on the recirc times out in 5 min exactly, every time. You could always turn the A/C on an just adjust the temp higher and see how that works as a temp solution.

Interesting, I'll have to give that a try.

It will stay on recirc if the set temp is lower than ambient but if it's reversed, it will flip to fresh air at will.

Still at 100% too when I first posted it; zero flickering so far (knock on wood) and been so many months. —I love the brightness haha.

It may have only been on the trucks within the scope of the current recall for flickering that would have it happen.

Might be! I’m curious to see what the fix is for those, all I heard is it’s a software update and one thing I’m a little confused (didn’t get a chance to read the entire thing) but is the recall for the ‘22s or includes the ‘21s too? I haven’t seen anyone that has a ‘21 that got the recall.. yet.

Per the Ford filing with NHTSA, Part 573 Safety Recall Report 22V-686, the affected F150s are 2022 model year:

Production Dates : MAR 11, 2022 - JUL 23, 2022

Mine flickered at 100%, 70% was the sweet spot for my truck with no fog DRL flicker
