Would this issue qualify for the Ford buy back under the lemon law?

Warning to new 5.0l buyers.

I traded my 2014 F150 with 5.0 litre engine (never EVER added oil in 6 years) for a 2021 F150 5.0 litre. At 1,300km the oil light came on for a 1 litre top up.
The truck puffs blue smoke on a cold start-up.

I don’t like where this is headed.
Sounds just like my truck. Oil light came on at 1,050 miles, 3,000 miles and again at 3,254 miles when towing. Has used 2 qts of oil during that time.
Also has blue smoke on start up and engine clatters when towing going up slight inclines.
Have an appointment tomorrow to leave it with the dealer for a couple days.

My 2021 F150 with 5.0 engine had oil light come on at 1,000 miles. Add a quart and it was low again at 2,000! It occasionally blows out clouds of blue smoke and it is embarrassing when the person parked next to me gets smoked out in their car. This is terrible for a $65,000 truck. It is at the dealer for a couple of days but they said that may be normal oil consumption! It is not normal to have to add oil every other fill up. I had to rebuild my old trucks when they burned oil like that. This is defiantly not good for the engine or the environment.

Took my truck to the dealer today and showed them the video of blue smoke on start up and told them about the low oil warnings.
They changed the oil and said they marked the dipstick and for me to drive it until the oil light comes on again as the first step required by Ford to document oil consumption...

Let us know how it goes. I hope an isolated issue and not a generic with the new 5.0 Coyote refresh. Considering I just ordered a 5.0 :D

Just went to start my truck and it wouldn't turn over. Ended up calling a tow truck and having it dropped at the dealer.. truck was there for 15 min( I tracked it on the Ford app) and I got a call from the service manager. He stated "the trucks oil life was at 20%, once it hits this mark, it puts the engine into a safe mode and will not start, it essentially forces you to get it to the dealer."
I have seen the low oil/add oil light come one 4 times in the past 2 weeks. But everytime I popped the hood it was within safe operating range by more than enough. Truck currently has 6,100 miles on it. Has been perfect everyday but today ?

I have a 2021 3.5 Ecoboost with 2100 miles. Two quarts low today when I checked with towing approx. 5000 pounds from time to time over the past two weeks (lake boat). Brief bluish-white smoke on some start ups since I brought it home but not all the time. I had been checking oil levels, but there was no noticeable loss until this last check (two weeks since I checked last). So, this is not just a 5.0 issue I guess. I'm documenting oil loss and gonna get it it in to a dealer if the problem persists over the next 1000 miles. (Owner's manual says oil consumption on a new engine should be normal after 3,000 miles). Losing two quarts in 2100 miles, though, seems to indicate an issue, even with the break-in period.

I just changed my oil at 2,800 miles (first change), the oil was at the bottom of the 'low' fill line.... seems to me like mild consumption. Oil life was 79%, it must calculate the oil life with all the quarts we will be adding...

My pickup was overfilled when I took delivery.
about 1/4” above the ”FULL” dot.
Had the oil changed at 2500 and it was still over by 1/4”.
The garage I use for servicing and inspections did the first change, and the oil still looked brand new.
(most all of my miles are unencumbered rural)
While Jesse was measuring out that last .75 qt., I told him to go ahead and just fill with 8qts. Only one cup overfill.
Just hit 5000m and took it to Ford for the ”first scheduled” change.
Still well over the “FULL“ mark.
Will check current level after it sits for a few hours and note the level.
(over filled, filled to mark, or under filled)
I will use that mark as a reference as the next time I take it in will be right at the 10k mark.
So far, it has given me no reason for concern.
I would tolerate usage of 1 quart between 5k changes, but not likely any more.
I currently have 2 vehicles with over 200k on the clock, another that is running an old never been rebuilt 73ish 307 in my 66 ElCamino, and a rather spirited 5.0HO in a 65 Ranchero.
3 of these vehicles use no measurable amount of oil in 5-6 thousand miles.
Only the Ranchero uses a bit as that car is driven with a LOT more spirit than the others (300hp in a 4.5 ounce car with a clutch and skinny little tires makes for a fun ride).

My Oil light came on today when I started it up to get home. Had been meaning to do a change as I'm at 6600miles. Checked it when I got home and it had time to drain down and level is @ 50% on the dipstick and oil life is 31% according to the menu.

Going to change it tomorrow.....

Just rolled over 1200 - oil is on the stick in the same place as the day I got it. I know that’s not a lot of miles to go off of but still…
