Yeah, I'm one lucky fella.. It hasn't done it that long since that day.. Certainly seems to be temperature related.. The colder it is the worse it is... Goes in to service this evening.. So we shall see...Wow, mine never sounded like that. I have never heard a 3.5 make that sound for that long.
Ugh. Sorry you’re dealing with that! Definitely not right and I hope they take care of it for you. Here is this mornings noise..
That does not sound like cam phaser issue... did you ever find out what it was? Here is this mornings noise..
No.. They replaced the passenger side turbo and that didn't solve it. They pretty much gave up and I started the lemon process.. It's probably something simple..That does not sound like cam phaser issue... did you ever find out what it was?

It's been just fine since the temperature outside has warned up.. Either way, it's getting swapped out with another truck tomorrow..definitely not phaser or turbo related. sounds like lifters or piston slap!!!! that motor wont last long. lemon it out.
I just traded my 2019 Expedition and it needed it done. I'd be going apeshit if my vehicle had to have it done 4 times. I decided for that reason to go with the 5.0L in my new truck. No oil issue yetWe have a 2021 Ford F150 with 3200 miles on it and it just started making this noise when you would start it with the air conditioning on. It only would last a few seconds. We took it to the dealer and they state it's the Cam Phaser that needs to be fixed. Luckily it's under warranty because it is a 25 hour job. They're trying to get the parts for it as we speak. Hoping they can get it fixed soon. The service manager states he has a 2019 expedition and he's had to have this done 4 times on his vehicle.
