only seems to be warrantied if a Ford Dealer or ASE ford certified technician installs the kit. :/

That's the way most the Ford Accessory warranty stuff works unfortunately.

I got some Ford Accessory Fender vents that are literally designed to stick on with 3M tape.

They wouldn't fall under the Ford warranty unless installed by a Ford tech.

Towards the kit or install? How do you redeem for that?
You have to buy the kit through Ford to use the points on the kit.

If I purchase the kit through stage 3, I will pay for the labor to install at the Ford dealership with my FordPass points (I will probably have to pay some extra out of pocket, but the points will at least put a dent).

Hoping my points will put a dent in labor. Lol.

do you think the warranty applies to trucks with the powerboost, since this kit is”not recommended for powerboost”?
Truthfully…if the kit says not for powerboost a dealer may not even install it. If they do then liability falls on them. It’s tough. The phrase you gotta pay to play would apply. I could save a bunch of money installing this kit myself or a local mechanic for cheaper

Anyone got an estimate on Ford install on these? I know it’s different at every dealer but trying to find a ball park price.

Between $1000 and $1500. To do it "by the book", you'll also want to have a four wheel alignment and a recalibration of the cameras and other sensor systems. That's what it cost me to have the Roush/Fox 2.0's installed. You can definitely find someone to do just the suspension installation for far less.

What would be the best Bilstein option to keep the stock height? I don't plan to level the truck anytime soon and just want something more suitable for highway comfort and taming the crumby streets and potholes. And if not Bilstein, what alternative? Thanks.

Ouch. You think camera recalibration is necessary?

That was kind of funny.

Just called a place I was considering having do the work.

Originally $150 an hour for labor.

After talking to someone in service, it is going to take approximately 5 hours and labor is actually $250+ an hour...

I know where it won't be getting done.

$250 an hour is outrageous!! I run a shop after hours and feel bad about charging $125.......

It was $258 or $268 an hour, I can't remember.

But I do remember the lady saying, "We charge $150 an hour for labor"

I said okay and asked approximately how long they thought it would take.

She puts me on hold to I assume go talk to someone in service.

Comes back and feeds me the new hourly rate like she hadn't just told me it was $150 an hour and said it would take about 5 hours.

I am ready to pay a premium, I know I'm not just paying the techs wages, but to tell me bluntly one rate and then 5 minutes later almost double it...

I don't understand how places like that stay in business and it's actually a popular dealership in the area.

Putting shocks on a pickup truck now requires the hourly rate of a Porsche technician wearing a white lab coat.

We are living in remarkable times. :)
Don't forget the white gloves
