Looks to be a great option! I just installed the Bilstein 6112s (with strut retainers installed at desired ride height) and 5160s from shock surplus for $1,500 and the ride is much, much improved over OEM. At $1,700, this will be a popular upgrade.

Is there any real difference between the 6112 / 5160 and this “ford performance” besides the stickers?

If the warranty on the rears is more than 90 days (standard warranty on the 5160), it might be worth it.

I imagine the tuning is different, though enough to matter is to be seen.

Interesting it states, "Not Validated for Powerboost" - if you have a Powerboost/Heavy model you may not get the full 2" due to spring size

I’d like to know what springs it has and if they are steel vs aluminum. Being in snow country I went with the fox’s. If I were to do it again I’d get a set that would reuse my springs to make sure I get the advertised lift.

I have an email in to our tech support rep to see about spring rate, Max Tow /HDPP compatibility, and shock body material. I'll report back if/when I hear anything.

Not having the dealership try to deny front end warranty claims because you used genuine "Ford" parts for the upgrade is worth the price increase (even if it's the same product), in my opinion.

These appear to have less setting options than the 6112s and that's a negative for me. I want 6112s and want them set at 1.5" lift.

I am asking because after waiting for 8 months post purchase of the truck on any info on a Ford Performance for 21+ models and getting no info I just bought the 6112 / 5160 combo from Shock Surplus (they set the 6112 for 2” lift) and some new UCAs from BDS.

Scheduled for install tomorrow… and saw this post last night. Now pondering a return…. But they really seem like the same product to me

I was in the same boat, but I bought an Eibach Stage 2 kit and just installed it. I would've probably gone with the "Ford" kit even though it was almost double the price for the reasons stated above, but such is life.

Are you basing this off just looking at it or does it state what the height settings are? Only thing I see is below.
Levels truck 2" Front-Rear, with 2.5" front groove available for additional height

Both.

That comment makes me think there are two front settings.
