I have a 2021 that I put a 2.0 level on. I put on 20x9 rims +1 offset with 275/65/20 that rub like crazy. Would going up to a 2.5 help or do I need to change tire size?

I have 285/65/20's on mine with no level at the moment (2" level being installed Friday) and I have no rub issues so it is most likely your offset is the problem.

What rims / or offset are you using Gman73?

Need to increase the offset - the increased lift my help but "rubs like crazy" may not be resolved with just .5" increase?
The factory offset is 44mm - by going with +1mm you moved the outside of the tire nearly 1.7" out - when the tire/wheel turns this means the tire is 1.7" further forward and further rearward - offset makes bigger difference than the tire width (in this case you didn't change the tire width)

If I go down to 275/60/20 would it fix it?

I am using the stock rims that came with the truck.
Had my 2” level installed today and upgraded shocks and springs

295/60R20 Toyo AT3's on stock +44mm offset rims... zero rubbing or trimming. Your rim offset is the issue with your current rubbing.

Your truck looks great! Any pics of the tire poke front and rear with that stock wheel setup.

Thanks for the props on my truck! Here are a few pics of the tire setup just wanting to poke outside the wheel wells.

Perfect - not sure why people want their tires to poke outside of the fender wells unless they either A) never use their truck anywhere but on pavement or B) want to destroy their paint slinging rocks and other junk along the side. Some of these major offsets would destroy your rocker panels in a mile of gravel road driving with as many rocks as aggressive ATs and MTs tend to hold and sling.
