My brothers F150 started using oil around 15k. It now has progressed to 1 qt per 2k miles. He has maintained it with oil changes every 4k. It now has 38k on it and is being monitored by a Ford dealership. Has anyone else had this problem? if so, any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have zero oil consumption between changes on the 21 5.0. Using motor craft 5w30 from the dealer.

fun fact I also have zero oil consumption on my 50 year old Oldsmobile V8. Wonder what these coyotes are going to be like in 2051:p

Same here, just passed the one year mark. Zero oil burning. I have been running Mobil 1 full synthetic, with K&N filter since 5000mi, and currently have ~7400mi on the odometer! Very happy with the 5.0!

I had a 2019 f150 lease with a 5.0L I have turned it in already for a 2022. I had an oil consumption issue, dealer did some something on the trucks computer and put a new dipstick in. Not sure what the cause was but there was a TSB for that issue.
