I don't mean to nitpick.. Fiat Chrysler merged with the PSA group which is now called Stellantis...
Educating is not nitpicking kind sir.

Stellantis N.V. is a multinational automotive manufacturing corporation formed in 2021 on the basis of a 50–50 cross-border merger between the Italian-American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and the French PSA Group.[11][12][13] The company is headquartered in Amsterdam. In terms of global vehicle sales in 2021, Stellantis was the world's fifth-largest automaker behind Toyota, Volkswagen Group, Hyundai Motor Group, and General Motors.[14]

The primary listings for the company's stock are on Milan's Borsa Italiana and on Euronext Paris.[15] The principal activity of Stellantis is the design, development, manufacture, and sale of automobiles bearing its 16 brands: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Mopar, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and Vauxhall. At the time of the merger, Stellantis had approximately 300,000 employees and a presence in more than 130 countries, with manufacturing facilities in 30 countries.[16]

Even MOPAR lol.
Ford isn't even top 5. Interesting.

The only thing that has possibly dethroned the XLT 302A as the undisputed king of the value equation is what Covid did to the F150 (and most vehicles) market.

For years, at least down here in the south where an F150 is our Camry, (every driveway has one) any Joe off the street could walk in and get $12-14K off MSRP. It was just SO MUCH truck for the money!

The higher trims, with their dolled up MSRP's were actually discounted le$$.

But all that has changed and I don't know if it will ever return to that pricing model. It seems more a simple MSRP to MSRP value equation now, so not as weighted in favor of the XLT 302A specifically any longer.
True. I got lower than the MSRP by a couple g, but a Lariat with my options(7.2kW PB 4x4 Sport) was 10,000 more. I saved it for the bougie travel trailer purchase I have planned lol.

Gotta show off that barn and lift every chance you get, eh? ;)
I would! I'd have my beautiful wife behind me, the dogs at my feet, a luxurious robe on while smoking a cigar

I love my new F150.

But if the 2017 Ram Limited I used to own didn't have repeated issues with exhaust manifold bolts breaking off in the heads, I'd still own it. Loved it.

Looking for 2023 Lariat
So why did you have to come here and tell us this, like we care about the ram. Why not go the the ram fan boy room and tell them how bad the F150 is. Thanks for letting us all know your departing.
When I signed up for this forum I did not realize that opinions were not allowed. I am only stating my initial thoughts on comparing 2 different vehicles. Is the FORD community so closed minded to other brands that anything other than praise for the product is not allowed? This forum is titled F150 vs... If you are so closed minded about comparison maybe you should stay out of here and spend time with others of your thinking.

I agree the seats aren’t great, I have not looked at the dimensions but i truly believe the aluminum F-150 is smaller inside than the steel bodies. The seats were much wider on the old steel body that I was in. I’m a 24 year old who goes to the gym 6 day per week, broad shouldered and built body wise but not fat. I take up almost the entire seat. Any heavier set older guys would be over the edge. One of the first things I noticed when I sat in mine.

The multicontour seats seem to have more surface area to cradle me.
I'm not a hulk in any way, but I'm far from small. 6'1" 230#

When I look at the non-multicontour seats Ford is currently putting in the KingRanch, the seat bottom isn't noticeably that different, but the vertical section/seat back seems to taper almost to a point, while the multicontour is very broad at the shoulders.

Seeing that seat makes me miss my 2007 Eddie Bauer seats in the old Expedition. Loved the perforated heated/cooling

So why didn't I get a Ram? It would have cost 75k or 25% more than my XLT to get a ram with all the adaptive cruise etc that I wanted. You do close to 1000 miles in a day, you need every tool available to do it safely
Largely the same for me. I get the Fiat employee discount (5% below invoice) and still the equivalent Ram would have been more expensive than my F-150.

2022 Ford F-150 King Ranch Powerboost
I loved my 2022 RAM Longhorn more than I like my 22 King Ranch Powerboost. The RAM is the only vehicle I’ve ever traded that I regretted getting rid of. That said, it’s unquestionable that the Ford has more power, better towing capacity, better mpg. My RAM had a better ride, nicer interior, smoother transmission and much more simple engine (Hemi). If someone offered me a straight across trade on my old spec’d Longhorn, I would think very seriously of it. Downside is that gas prices are volatile and I get about 6-7mpg better in the Ford on the same commute. I also have 0% for 72 months on the Ford, and I’d probably pay a bunch of interest to get back into the RAM. I know this is a Ford forum, but I’ve had them both as equivalent models and the same year (22 KR, 22 Longhorn). They’re both great trucks.

2022 F-150
I had the Ram 1500 and the F-150 on my short list when looking for a truck to buy in 2022. I went with Ford to get the 3.5L V-6 engine instead of the Ram engines with the power pack and to get the rear tailgate option with the built-in step and grab bar.

I go up into the bed on my trucks and the Ford design makes this easier to do than with trucks from any other manufacturer. Safer going up and much safer coming back down to the ground. Ram has a good design for its special tailgate but it adds $2,000 to the MSRP.

Ram and GM both have much better cab and instrument panel designs and the Ford design looks like it was put together by a committee. With the F-150 I need to take my eyes off the road for very simple operations that with my GM truck I could simply move a lever on the steering wheel. Ford's people have a dozen small buttons on the steering wheel and I cannot even push a single button to get air coming in the cab but have to push a button and then select a choice from a menu on the display using the arrow buttons on the steering wheel. Only Jeep does a worse job where one needs to go to a menu just to change the fan speed for the defrost or heater.
