2.7 EB Payload Package- why so rare?

My 2.7 with 3.73 came with the 9.75. I do not have the HDPP or Max Tow. I do have the FX4 and standard tow. I really expected to get the 8.8 rear to be honest.

This was my last tank before filling up a few days ago. Granted, this is what the computer is calculating and I have not yet performed a manual calculation, so it’s likely going to be less.

2.7L:
Based on data from 6 vehicles, 66 fuel-ups and 20,978 miles of driving, the 2021 Ford F-150 gets a combined Avg MPG of 17.18 with a 0.47 MPG margin of error.

5.0L:
Based on data from 7 vehicles, 37 fuel-ups and 11,360 miles of driving, the 2021 Ford F-150 gets a combined Avg MPG of 16.99 with a 1.11 MPG margin of error.

3.5L:
Based on data from 19 vehicles, 130 fuel-ups and 45,886 miles of driving, the 2021 Ford F-150 gets a combined Avg MPG of 15.71 with a 0.68 MPG margin of error.

Nuff said.

And it looks like I am averaging 22 mpg. On trips, it pops up more (24-25 PER LIE-O-METER) as long as I stay below 70 mph with no turbo-passing. What I found amazing is that, with cruise control on, going up hills just doesn't suk down gas like in other vehicles I have owned. It really only drops slightly on very high hill slopes. I attribute a part of this to the 3.73 gearing.
