I'm driving a 2021 Platinum Powerboost and yes, adaptive steering is standard. So when I ordered a 2022 KingRanch with my custom build I was unaware of the adaptive steering not being included and potentially hanging up my order. I went to the dealer and they added it, but it still hasn't been picked up by Ford yet. Ordered 11/12

Was sure hoping the Platinum/KingRanch trim-constraint for Nov/Dec orders would be over by now. It looks like some have been scheduled, but mine hasn't. I'm sure it's something that I included in my build. Lol

I’m in the 2/28 build club!

I ordered an Antimatter Blue 22 Platinum Powerboost, 701A, FX4, 7.2K, twin panel moonroof, interior work surface, max recline seat, trailer tow package, and wheel well liners.

1/2/22: placed order with dealer
1/3/22: order submitted
1/6/22: order scheduled with VIN
2/28/22: projected build date

I saw other threads stating to add adaptive steering, but my dealer advised not to order with spray in bedliner (causing delay) or adaptive steering (causing delay seen with F150 & F250).

I tried to add Max Tow on 1/8/22, but that‘s when I found out it was already scheduled with a VIN. I opted not to add Max Tow because they would need to place another order, and I wasn’t sure how much of a delay it would add. Better a bird in hand than two in the bush.

FYI…. I don’t think you need to add adaptive steering now to get orders scheduled.

I checked my vehicle tracking today (like I do every day) and it's in the system! Not that it's giving me any more details that I already know...but at least the order has been officially confirmed! There's hope! :)

It appears on the build and price that adaptive steering is now standard on the Platinum. So, pretty sure you'll be getting it anyway. Was a little confusing as when I placed my order in early December (going from a '21 to a '22), it was a $1000 option. Should be interesting to see the window sticker eventually.

I think there are still some glitches with the build & price…. I would go off of the current 2022 order guide to which shows Adaptive Steering as an option.

I did not see Adaptive Steering as an option when the build site first rolled out.
So it is now a stand-alone option on the site?

I think Ford is still working on the build & price, so I wouldn’t assume it’s accurate. However, I feel the order guide is accurate. Here’s the link to the order guide:

The build & price shows Adaptive Steering as a standard feature on a Platinum under Interior features, but the order guide shows it as a free standing option. I trust the order guide more than B&P right now. A 2022 Platinum window sticker should show us which is accurate.

Yea, I misunderstood what you were saying. The order guide is the absolute official breakdown of a build. And as the 2021 Website was kept in place, the order guide was more and more NOT a reflection of the outdated website.
But you would expect that if the website was finally updated to current 2022 build options that it would have addressed the misalignment between the order guide and the public build site?

Adaptive steering is a glaring example.

Exactly! With all the delay in releasing the 2022 B&P, you would have thought someone made sure it had the correct info. The “rush” to get it out is just causing more confusion. But what do I know.

Here’s a pic of a Dec build 2022 Platinum window sticker which proves the order guide is correct.

Since yesterday, the Ford tracking tool is no longer wirking for me. Work for anyone else? Has anyones build week changed?

Works for me, but obviously just shows the “In Production” step.
I’ve never received an email from ford, so at this point I’m not sure if I’m still scheduled for this week or if I’ve been bumped. I’m trying to harass the dealer as little as possible.
