So i broke down and pinged my sales rep a day early. Awesome guy sent me a screen shot with the CSX railcar, after a phone call to a friend found out the railcar was delivered to Baldwin, FL 2 days ago.

Ok glad to hear. Did 7hrs of driving today and didnt smell it again so hopefully its the same for me!
On new vehicles you'll get that from a couple of sources - first all the electronics "burn in" - like a new computer on the first cycles. Second your engine components have a oil film as a protectant that burns off. All my recent new cars or trucks did this.

For those of us not busy enjoying a shiny new truck - you can chase boredom with the 2022 Build and Price that's now up!
It's up there but I don't think it's ready. I don't even see the high package available for xlt. And no 3.5 option???

Lot's of bugs I guess to start with.

You have to pick can type and box length first. Then you can pick the XLT level you want.

Still some options are not there. I don't see the 360 camera package for one. I'm sure they will get it all worked out by 2023.

It’s included with tow tech pkg. think it’s 880. Click details
Yes but my 22 has the 360 camera package. On the 21 build you could order it or the tow tech package. Maybe they changed that but my sticker just says 360 cam package. (I think the 360 cam package was a little cheaper and with it and tow you got everything that was in tow tech anyways…I believe that’s why I went that route)

I did notice the utility bed package says power tailgate. Didn’t think that was available on xlt??

I just went through the build and price tool for the 22 on the xplan site, seems to include everything I had on my build and clarified a few things that popped up when I submitted my build to the dealer.
The bed utility package was one of them, sales rep told me i had to add that to get the tailgate work surface and step. So some things have changed for sure in the online tool and appears to be in the right direction IMO.

Oh and the BAP is clearly defined this time around..... I missed that when I ordered mine and thought the chrome delete was what I needed to get the blacked out look. Kinda glad I did because I'm hearing those builds are pushed out a few months.

Yeah I was a little mad when I missed out on the BAP until I realized how much time it added. Now I'm glad I didn't get it.
