Well thank goodness the Gen14 F150 community has you here to remind us that we all own garbage. It'd be tragic if anyone was actually happy with theirs. Especially those that have been relatively trouble free.

There’s more than enough like you who pop in when someone posts a problem to let us know their truck is “relatively” trouble free and regurgitate the forum talking points. Ford lead the automotive industry in recalls and warranty costs the last few years by being “relatively” trouble free. Only about 2 problems per vehicle, on average.

P.S. I am glad to hear your f-one-fiddy is “transformed” by a new battery. More of that “relative” Ford greatness I suppose.

These idiots saying there’s YouTube videos to fix Ford’s 10r80 failures have never pulled a transmission in their life. They live in a delusional online world. If they had, they would be madder than hell at having to pull the transmission to fix Ford’s failures. All the mechanics I know, including the local Ford techs, say all vehicles made in the last decade are absolute garbage. Funny, the guys that work on them every day have a very different opinion then the net.
You know what they say about assuming? I don't even know how many transmissions I've pulled/swapped at this point. Here's the last one though. I pulled it out from a junk yard then rebuilt it myself, it lives a hellish life under one of my fine Fords now.

Good luck backing out of your driveway. That's a pretty tough operation sometimes.

It sure is in a Ford. It’s probably that damn 10r80 bushing walking out. I’ll throw on the lift (everyone has one in their garage), pull the transmission, and watch some Youtube videos this weekend.

Did you see that other guy having the same problem, and your blue oval rocket scientists have been on it for weeks to no resolve? More “relative” awesomeness huh?

Say, how much does Ford pay you to simp? I just cannot believe it’s possible to shill that hard for free. Is it?

You have me confused with someone else?
I still have the factory underhood battery in my 2022 F150.
I wouldn't say it's still going strong. But it's not let me down yet.

Could be. It’s hard to keep all the nonsense straight. Anyway, I’ve had enough fun at your expense and the dude who thinks the world wants to see his dog wearing sunglasses. I suppose I enjoy ridiculing people who ridicule others for the same reason you guys shill for Ford…no good reason at all.

I understand that you couldn't possibly have read every post that I've ever made, but for those that have been around a while, they could vouch for me being very critical of both Ford the manufacturer and the dealership network.

So you're just guilty of stereotyping a member based on assumptions from selective posts.

Let me hear you say something critical?

Phasers are not a wear item. You sound like Ford. Phaser rattle was normal per Ford, until they came out with revised phasers. Technically, the whole damn engine is a wear item, but people with experience know phasers should last the life of an engine. Timing chains should too. They used to until DI. That’s why all the four bangers went to chains. They were supposed to be lifetime items. This new generation has been accustomed to cheap crap and they don’t know any better. But I do get a good laugh at the trained keyboard monkeys that have their egos all wrapped up in a mediocre machine.

Couldn't even tell you how many trans I've dropped. Tractors are much more fun -- nothing like literally splitting a 4ton+ vehicle in two just to play with the trans. I've done 3 transfer case swaps in the hybrid F150s. To drop the trans at that point isn't much more work. Sounds like you've never done any meaningful work to a vehicle. GM and ford have both had similar issues with the 10 speed Every brand has its problems, but it's not said problem that's the issue. The issue is the lack of talent at dealers that can identify and remedy the problem, and that's ultimately a govt problem that we can't really get into around these parts.

Buy an EV if combustion engines and transmissions scare you.

If I had to have a STX, those wheels would be replaced almost before I leave the dealership. I just can't stand that design.
