10/24/22 - Build Week - MY 23

Don’t get too excited, mine has been at Voltz for almost three weeks now after having been shipped on 10/28. Arrived at Voltz on the 3rd and has sat ever since…. It’s a Granger order so only a few hundred miles to go on a car carrier, no idea what the hold up is. Date keeps moving in the VVR too. Latest is to Granger by Dec. 1st. Oh well.

Hopefully there’s 1 spot on your convoy and I complete it and we make the journey north . Things have moved incredibly fast since built/shipped/voltz ... I’m sure a hiccup/delay has to be around the corner.

I have a friend in freight and he said it swung hard from a strong freight market to a buyers(shippers) market. Based on his personal experience, we shouldn’t be waiting on trucking companies?

Sorry if this is redundant but I saw it on another thread.
Once you get a railcar# in the secondary column from your dealer report;

Norfolk Southern tracking tool free automated phone number:
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. select option 2 for intermodal
3. select option 2 for tracking
4. enter or say the LETTER part of the railcar# number (you can use the phone keypad TTGX is 8849)
5. enter or say the NUMBER of the railcar# number
6. give a few seconds and it will tell you the last location and departure time

as of now mine is half way home.

talked to Ford chat, they told me still awaiting shipment but ETA to dealer was Dec 4th still. I laughed and then Ford chat told me its only 11 hours away from my dealer.....

Mine has been “built” since 10/31. Still hasn’t shipped. I don’t get it. It’s frustrating.

It was more likely a comment that was around...When it ships its only 11 hours away...I didn't tell them it was supposed to go by rail...

It's been 3 weeks since my last update.

Dealer says it will arrive on the 5th but won't commit.

Ford chat repeated what they told me on Nov 7th "the vehicle is awaiting shipment, secondary status of Released", the ETA to your dealer is between this Friday (12/2) and next Thursday (12/8).

On another note I know I am going to miss my 20 yo Excursion 7.3 DTI 4X4. Just back from a Winter camping trip in Eastern Nevada last week. Excursions are known for effortless towing, smooth ride, enormous interior space and rock solid engine. Many times on the drive I wondered how the F-150 would perform. Will the ride be as smooth? Will it be as reliable? How will the trailer handle?

Hopefully I will know soon.

Ford email update today
My “Built” King Ranch delivery has been moved from 11/17-23 to 12/11-17.
Status has NOT changed to shipped.
“ To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time”
At least they are worried about my satisfaction

It’s sitting in the Kansas City rail yard. Shipped from Dearborn almost a month ago. What could they possibly still be working on?!?!
