I just chatted with them, was not helpful lol. Just said I was in production and to reach out to my dealer. Don't really want to bug my dealer with it but..

I would, they can get the Vehicle Visibility Report (VVR) and tell you what's going on. Ask them for that and if any holds are on it.

Not that this is surprising, but still total radio silence about whether my truck was assembled on the 14th or not. No modules, no shipping info, nothing. Not even a completion ETA which most of y’all seem to have had, even if the news wasn’t good. Ford chat this evening said they could see an entry made on my order for an updated status, but no indication of what the entry was or when the status will finalized… whatever that means. Based on everything I’ve seen today, I’m sure it’s a hold.

I first sensed something was wrong when my build date went from being 5/12 to 5/14 to being “scheduled this week.” Now no confirmation it was even built. What on earth happened in the few days between the week of 5/2 builds and this nightmare week?? 😂 😂

I just keep checking modules for @JohnMcClane because at this point I just want his truck to get built and shipped like the rest of the KC builds.

Thanks, I think they're trying to send me a message...

Need to be a little more specific Ford, there's so many options here.

Modules populated and “activate” button on the FordPass app appeared within the hour. According to chat I’ll be “in production” until 5/29. No shipping info. No explanation why the delay. Specifically told not on chip or part hold at the moment. Sounds like the rest of y’all who were told production would be delayed a couple weeks, but now being told 4-5 months. I’m not holding my breath. I’m going to contact the dealer and request a VVR tomorrow.

The "stopping" 22 orders without opening 23 order banks had me worried. Now I know why, Ford didn't learn there lesson the first chip shortage go around and the executives were foolish enough to think things would go back to "normal". Why are people paid the most often the most daft?

Apparently Ford has 50,000 vehicles on hold in lots... Holy moly!!!!!!!!!! Estimated $3 billion in revenue

Basically advised never getting my truck. "First in, first out" is the build model. Basically just get left out to dry if your vehicle is on the line and parts run out and the shipment doesn't come while yours is on the line.

I told my dealer about the October 25th date, and they did in fact confirm it to be true. They were really surprised and didn’t really know what to do. I told them I’m not willing to buy a truck that’s going to sit in a lot for 6 months collecting dust. I have a hell of an opportunity for a 6 speed 5.9 🤣 I may have to jump ship, but we’ll see.
