My truck arrived at the dealership today and I have arranged to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. They need to complete 2 recalls which may push everything back until next Monday.

My truck arrived at the dealership today and I have arranged to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. They need to complete 2 recalls which may push everything back until next Monday.

… actually it will now be next Wednesday at the earliest. The dealership needs to order parts for the steering column wiring harness recall. One would think that Ford would either complete the recall work in Dearborn when they had months to do it or supply a new harness when the truck was delivered. Oh well.

Mine was delivered too, both trackers updated. No idea when as I was travelling the last week. Dealer didn’t call yet.

Oh ... and of course there's my truck which has been awaiting shipment for 121 days (built on 3/26/22).
Ordertrack.app says time in status is 109 days and 13 hours with the longest wait being 111 days, 15 hours with 319 similar vehicles.

Got delivery on Friday and picked up truck from dealer today. Long wait but she’s a beauty!

The dealership called me today and I picked my truck up a short time ago. Apparently, from what I was told,… being I didn’t get my new truck within a month of trading it (July of 2021) I had to pay the state sales tax for the full purchase price (of course none of this was disclosed to me prior to their giving me the final figures). I was also told that Florida changed their laws as it relates to trades. I don’t know if it‘s actually true or not but it was either walk away or pay an additional $4k plus. They worked with the price a bit and threw in an extended warranty which almost made me whole, but the process was bittersweet at best. 13 months of waiting, a ceramic coat that was applied over paint that wasn’t properly cleaned prior to the application, a rusty undercarriage and some minor scuffs and scratches just makes me tired of this.
