June 5th has come and gone, no updates from Ford. VVR now shows June 20th as an expected delivery date.

It's all bullshit.

It’s June 20th. It appears that the June 20th expected delivery date wasn’t credible either.

This sliding of the goalposts has been going on since 1/26.

Nearly 5 months now.

Dunno, I don’t know how stripped down MY2023 will be. And I don’t know much more it will cost.
Hell, they owe you. But I imagine it will be missing a few things and inflation will be a killer. Maybe a strongly worded letter to the CEO. You never know. We want to close out this 01/03/22 spreadsheet!

Got another email. They’re working very hard on ensuring my satisfaction. In fact they’re so singularly dedicated to this pursuit that they’ve pushed the expected delivery date out to July 4th.

What a truly shit buying experience.

Well its July 5th, and Ford missed the July 4th date on the VVR again. No news whatsoever.

Gonna go for a different trim?
Let's see what's offered. I'd have gone for the Tremor if it came with a PowerBoost. There's also the non-refundable $1K deposit I have with my dealer. I'll probably get this truck right about when the 2023s start rolling off the assembly line.

I thought your $1K was refundable if you never take possession of the truck?

People usually want a 22 in 21 or a 23 in 22. Sadly, we’re getting a 22 in 23.
I console myself with the silver lining that the kinks will be worked out for the MY, at least stuff like A/C issues, the coolant leak, the 7.2KVa tripping, battery vampire drain, OTA updates etc will have solutions so there won't be as much grief from those should they manifest in the truck.
