Any suggestions on splash guards/mud flaps? Most of them are $239 for a pair and I'm sure you're mostly paying for the logo, but is there anything wrong with just getting the $50 pair? Is it that huge of a difference?

Me too. Did you get your FordPass points already? Still waiting. The service guy at my Ford dealer told me today it takes about two weeks to hit after picking up your truck. He also said he'd tint my moonroof for $50.

Yeah I got mine pretty quickly, like a day after connecting the truck to FordPass.

My truck arrived late yesterday. Picked it up a few hours ago. Just finished up the liners, hood shield, de-badging, and cleaning it up for the topper tomorrow.

Looks like my truck arrived at Granger! Checked tracking this morning and it says it’s in final preparation at Granger. Tracker shows it was delivered 2/9.

I had a crazy busy day yesterday so I didn’t check tracking. However on Wednesday the 9th, my estimated delivery moved up from 2/13 to 2/12. So I figured that was a good sign.

Im hoping to pick the truck up next Thursday or Friday if Chip and the crew have it ready by then. I know they’re swamped.

Picked up on Thurday and drove back to Colorado to get home just in time for a foot of snow to fall. Frist hot take, lane centering is really good. Made the drive home very relaxing.

I feel very fortunate to have picked up this week. I’ve enjoyed this forum while waiting for this truck to arrive. I know lots of folks are waiting. Hang in there.

A few initial thoughts on the drive from Iowa back to Texas.

• Granger is a good option. It’s a bit crazy to fly to Iowa from Texas to buy a truck, but the savings made sense. None of the local dealers bothered to try to match their price. They were honest and transparent with the pricing and did everything they said they were going to do. Also, I got nearly all my updates from Ford emails or the Ford tracker when it was working. I only followed up with Chip when it was built and delivered.
• Baja Tan looks better in person. I ordered sight unseen because it is not a common option and the local dealer did not have one, but preferred the tan over the gray on the last generation of Ford. I started to second guess myself when I saw photos. However, seeing in person I like it.
• 2022 changes - while a lot has been said about some of the deletes Ford made from 2021 to 2022, one add is the 6’’ extended chrome running board. Picture included. This adds some running board in black near the rear tire, so you can reach into the bed easier. Nice practical add.
• Pleasantly surprised how easy the adaptive cruise worked. You hardly even notice it as it subtly slows you down or when you change lanes behind a slower car it picks up speed without aggressively downshifting.
• The speed sign recognition is pretty amazing as it conveniently displays speed on the speedometer. Great for driving through small towns. This is the best highway car, I’ve ever had. I hardly had my foot on the brake or gas on the highway as your left thumb can control the speed of the truck easily.
• Work surface is practical. I pulled over on the drive for a long work call. The added space of the work surface for my laptop and the quietness of the Powerboost made for a decent work situation. Not a complete game changer, but slight better.
