You're right, they're not in the same class, but I think they have to run them against any vehicle that has a certain percentage of new parts so in that regard yes they're in the same class.I'm not sure how it was going against the Santa Cruz and Ridgeline, but I'll take the win.
As an owner of a 2021 PowerBoost that has experienced both the infamous heat exchanger and sheared axle bolt issues, Ford shot themselves in the foot with the horrible delays in getting replacement parts. I personally did not have to wait, but many did. One of the questions CR asks is if an issue resulted in the vehicle being out of commission and that is what killed the reliability rating IMHO.Funny to see this not long after the PowerBoost was rated least reliable vehicle by Consumer Reports…
