2021 F-150 Lariat 502A, 3.5L PowerBoost
Maybe I am expecting to much…
First, I REALLY Like my new truck. 2021 F-150 Lariat Powerboost with the 5.5 foot bed and Max Tow.

First issue was that the dealer never gave me the card with the master code to unlock the doors using the push buttons… No big deal right? There is a procedure to recover it from the car using both keys. I did that and got a number that didn’t work. Reached out to the dealer and got the correct number. Works no problem.. But how in the world does the wrong code get stored in the trucks computer? And even better, why does it have it stored twice? (Once to unlock the door and once to report out using the dual key method)

Second issue, reading the Ford info it looks like my truck should be rated to tow 12,400 lbs. But when I look at the sticker under the bumper… it seems I can tow 14,000 lbs. I know this isn’t right, but there it is on the sticker.

I don’t expect perfection but these seem like pretty basic things that should be right every time.

What say the unwashed masses?

It was mentioned but to expand a bit, that is the hitch rating and your towing capacity isn’t determined by one part. Your engine and transmission cooling, payload, axle rating, all play a part. It’s like your tires, they have a load rating on them and combined it’s likely higher than your payload, but it doesn’t mean your tires are the source you use for payload.

After 4 XLT’s I’m finally going to get a Lariat. I am happy to join the Lariat Lounge/club now. Ordered March 1st, SuperCrew Lariat Sport Appearance, FX4, Max Tow (3.73 axle),Trailer Tow Mirrors, B&O Unleashed, Moonroof, 5.0L V8 COYOTE (0-60 just over 5sec.), plus other options. These are the main features I was looking for in a Lariat and couldn’t find one, so I ordered one. My first truck/vehicle I have ever ordered. I had a EcoBoost in my first two and the 5.0L V8 in the last two F150 XLT’s. Love the 5.0 and that’s why I wanted one in the Lariat, now that they even tweeted it some more. Can’t wait, but it looks like I don’t have a choice.... lol.

How many here ordered the COYOTE with their Lariat?

Nice truck. Looking at hitches now for when mine comes in. How do you like the B&W hitch?

Welcome to the Lariat Lounge!! You are one of the few, if not ONLY generation fourteen F-150ers that I know of that has taken delivery of a PowerStroke engine!

Also ordered the Coyote 5.0 with my Lariat. I had gotten a 2020 Lariat with the 5.0 as a rental vehicle when my Escape was hit a parking lot and fell in love that week. Now waiting sorta patiently.

I’m going on my 5th F150 which is finally a LARIAT. 4 XLT’s; first 2 were EcoBoost and the last two were/is now (2016) 5.0L COYOTE. With the tweaks they’ve done to it now, I can’t wait. On YouTube it can go 0-60 in just over 5sec.

I went from ordering date: 3/1/2021
Got VIN# 3/12/2021 ; KCP HERE, SCREW LARIAT SPORT APPEARANCE BLACK, 502A HIGH, FX4, MAX TOW, TRAILER TOW MIRRORS, MOONROOF, WORK STATION, WHEEL WELL LINERS, 5.0L V8 COYOTE, PLUS OTHER OPTIONS.
Got week of 4/12/2021
Then Day May 12, 2021
Then pushed to Week of 6/14/2021.

Next Thursday I’m going to the Dealership and try to get a Vehicle Registry Report, or what ever that tracker Pioneer74 was using. Not expecting much but another push, probably July.

So, is it official? Is she built?
I just checked the tracker sites....they are showing that my truck IS built as of yesterday (5-21). Now has an ETA delivery of 6-18 . Hopefully it will be headed my way soon :) .

Was it built?

Mine was also saying in production and blend date on 20th -- then it changed ETA to N/A which was really disappointing. This morning I woke up to a text message from my dealer that it was built with new ETA date early July (y)
My window sticker says Blend date was 5-20. But just checked the tracking sites a few minutes ago and it is saying that my truck IS BUILT. And is showing an ETA delivery of 6-18 .

I wouldn't hold my breath on that delivery date, however we at least have movement ?

I've owned several Lariats; current truck is a 2018 2.7 Ecoboost, 6.5' bed, Magma Red, 502A, Moonroof and a few other options. Did not get to drive much last 16 months so currently has about 28K miles on it. My dealer really wants my truck, or so they keep telling me :)

On order is a 2021 F150 Lariat, 6.5' bed, 3.5L Hybrid, 502A, Power Moonroof, Tow Tech package, Power Tailgate, Interior Work Surface, Co-Pilot Active 2.0 Prep, Antimater Blue.

Ordered 5/3 and have the VIN and Window Sticker. Shows 'in production'.

One thing I miss is the adjustable ambient lighting. Not sure why they switched to the static color. My wife's 2020 Explorer Platinum still has it :)

I would have liked to seen that too. Good thing I like the Ice Blue they have it locked on, but other colors every once and a while would have been nice!
