Received this email yesterday:Ford F-150 plants (both) are scheduled for shutdown week of July 4th. Wonder if it’s related…
That is 7/4 only i believe, not the whole week. But could be wrong.Dunno. Just going based on attached
Better come back July 5th with a pep in their step. Pop on their exo skeletons and get cracking. My july 4th build week has been holding strong so farFord F-150 plants (both) are scheduled for shutdown week of July 4th. Wonder if it’s related…
And you punished them by buying one of their more expensive trucks. They have no reason to change. My XLT has been on order since 10/29. Wrote Ford on 4/29 to celebrate my 6 month anniversary of no build. Was seeing trucks on dealer lots with my options, and customer orders well after mine with the same options. I am a priority 2. 6 weeks ago I had enough and went looking. Snagged a Lariat 150 miles from me with all the options I ordered, and some additional Lariat options I couldn’t get on the XLT. By the way, in the letter from Ford they apologized for the delays and instructed me to work with my dealer. Right—the only thing they get that we do not is on Tuesday who is on delay. I have been a loyal Ford customer for over 40 years. Fords customer support has really screwed the pooch with their handling of these production issues.
What I do is my choice, how you feel about it is none of my concern. And you punished them by buying one of their more expensive trucks. They have no reason to change.
