I called today to have the bed liner option removed to maybe speed things up a week or two.

Had my sales rep remove wheel well liners last week or prior (can't remember). He sounded hopeful that it would get picked up for build this cycle. I hope he's right

I called today to have the bed liner option removed to maybe speed things up a week or two.

From my understanding around here, that if you add/remove something you loose all price protection with Ford. Why would you do that? 3rd or 4th price increase is today since your order date of 12/2. That $600 bedliner and hoping for less of a delay may have just cost you $5-6k as it is no longer a "firm order"

Or am I wrong in my readings?

So now we have to call Ford a million times to ask for VIN because the dealership will not be voluntarily calling you to provide. Another deceptive gimmick by Ford, and unfair practices.

A million times is a bit of a reach. If your dealer is not good at comminicating, call or chat with Ford every Friday there is sceduling. That max 4 times a month.

And how is this unfair practices?

Your dealer should be providing this info anyways.

I do not think this is entirely correct. I do not think making small changes effects original order. I do not think Removing bed will change from firm order.

But as I said, not sure. Maybe someone will add some facts.

Only trim (ie XLT to Lariat) or powertrain changes constitute a “new order”.

Ah, a patient person! Lol I was in que last week one morning but then I had to fly so I had to closeout and haven't tried again. Imagine being a chat representative at Ford these days...ugh
