That doesnt sound right. Sources?I've seen a few places where people have said Ford isn't sending out VIN emails anymore until the trucks are in production. Supposedly to cut down on the number of people contacting them about Blend/Build dates being pushed back several times. Anyone else seen or heard anything about that?
Just on the forums here. I haven't seen anything from Ford, or in the news. That's why I was hoping someone could confirm or deny. Pointless for us to all get excited about maybe getting a VIN if they aren't sending emails. That doesnt sound right. Sources?
As long as I can either have ford or my dealer look it up, that's no the worst thing to happen. Where is everyone hearing this from?I’m pretty sure they are now only sending VINs when you are scheduled to day instead of scheduled to week. You will have a VIN when scheduled to week, but you won’t be notified. Your dealer can still provide it.
So now we have to call Ford a million times to ask for VIN because the dealership will not be voluntarily calling you to provide. Another deceptive gimmick by Ford, and unfair practices.Just on the forums here. I haven't seen anything from Ford, or in the news. That's why I was hoping someone could confirm or deny. I'm with you, I don't get this. It's going to increase the number of calls and chats woth Ford about VINs. And once people do get vins and build dates the number of contacts about pushed build dates will stay the same. Again it's what I've seen the on forums, I haven't been able to find anything else about it.So now we have to call Ford a million times to ask for VIN because the dealership will not be voluntarily calling you to provide. Well, you are buying a Ford, but you are purchasing it from your dealer. The dealer should be your source of up to date info. They can look up the visibility report easily and give you what you need. I wouldn’t bother them constantly, but checking in by email every couple weeks shouldn’t be an issue. Just give them a day or so to get back to you.So now we have to call Ford a million times to ask for VIN because the dealership will not be voluntarily calling you to provide. I do hope you get yours soon. I would love to know when you get yours scheduled, as my build is nearly identical to yours. I have been waiting quite a long time.Oh boy, time to my hopes up once again!
Yikes, and you've been waiting almost a year at this point. Un-freakin'-real.I do hope you get yours soon. I would love to know when you get yours scheduled, as my build is nearly identical to yours. I have been waiting quite a long time.
