So does this mean that if IF I get a VIN, it won't be scheduled until at least April?

I'd say when you get a VIN and build date it will indicate a build later than 4/4. You are not likely to get a VIN or build date this week. Best case scenario is, I think, you get an email next week 2/10 that says "dear Mr Super Dave, we will finally build your truck on 4/4. Here is your vin. Thanks for being patient, your patience will not be rewarded in any way as we know we'll be able to sell your truck to thousands of other people, but still, thanks for waiting."

I'm hoping for the same email, except my name is not Mr Super Dave.

What I don't know is what they mean by cleanup scheduling. I'm hoping that means cleaning up old stagnant orders from Job 1 before they have to do minor 'retooling' for job2. (technically there's probably not a lot of retooling between MY 22 Job 1 and MY 22 Job 2. Will likely be more when transitioning from MY22 job 2 to MY 23 job 1.

Hello, I am new to the group. I have received a vin # for my 2022 Tremor ordered on Nov 12. When I check with Ford they told me it's in production.

However, when I attempt to enter it in MyFord they say we have no orders for this vehicle.

How long does it normally take for Ford to deliver when it goes into production?

My Dealer is Reno NV.

Thanks

I do believe you are on the wrong site

I think we should see inventory improve and delivery times drop as GM and Toyota pull away customers when they start delivering competitive 1/2 tons.

At the end of the day, competition helps consumers. With the new F150 for 2021, Ford was really the only game in town for 1/2 ton pickups.

The same applied to the GM 1/2 ton based full size SUVs for 2021.

Does GM start producing or delivering their refreshed Sierras and Silverados in April 2022?

Local sales manager of my gmc dealership is telling me order now and will probably receive it late March/April. He has been accurate when dealing with him in the past.

I really like my Ford order and the f150, but its getting tempting to just go order an at4 3.0L duramax with the refreshed interior and be done with it.

Reading on this forum has me feeling my order a few weeks ago won't see the light of day until 6 months from now.

I understand your frustration. Ordered 10/29, all I know is that I am still on delay, first for snow plow prep, now for the 5.0 and running boards. Talked with 1 GMC dealer and they would not give any answer as to wait time.

My one concern about the GM product is that they only have a ~24 gallon fuel tank compared to Ford's 36 gallon option. That alone is a no-go for me.
