Just to add my data point, it 100% appears when I start my PowerBoost for the first time of the day, stays while I back out of my driveway, and then goes away as soon as I put it into drive. And then I don't notice it appearing the rest of the day.

Some people's theory is it's an indicator that the engine is cold and in warm up mode.

I've seen two updates to my F-150 Prius. Nothing about this mystery bubble, but I think it has changed from a dot/bubble to a range slice of the speedometer. I guess that could be cold or it could mean max speed with available battery charge, i.e. "stay below this speed limit to stay in Electric Drive mode."
A pity Ford product management doesn't have QA/doc/service people publish all this stuff to users/owners.
The only other thing that could maybe be related is "Low Engine Use Mode" but the manual doesn't explain in detail.

Several times when the bubble has come up on mine (immediately after start), if I am not at home in the driveway, the bubble has a white background outlined in red with the speed limit in black. I have not been able to capture a phot yet. Then the regular speed limit indicator comes up.

I also have the bubble in a V8.
Started noticing it around ~70 miles. Still get it with over 12K miles.

Does anyone know what this “bubble” on the instrument cluster represents?
I circled the “bubble” on the attached photo. It’s located just above and to the right of the “0” on the speedometer

I notice it from time to time after I start the truck up but it goes away after a short time. I couldn’t find anything in the owners manual and don’t want to disregard it if it’s an issue.
Thanks!

I'm Thinking that it has something to do with Blue Cruise that is going to released soon

I believe it's the truck syncing with GPS. Goes away once GPS is established.

Finally caught it on camera.

I only get the bubble after a warm start-up, not usually after cold start-up. I do not have active prep 2.0 so don't think it is Blue-Cruise related. Others are saying it has to do with speed sign recognition and GPS.

Hello folks... New here. Always enjoyed finding forums with like minded people.
Found "The Bubble" a couple weeks ago. Bought truck with 10K 11/2021 now has ~14K. Don't remember seeing it till around a month ago. No answers, just another concerned owner...
