The dealership called me today and I picked my truck up a short time ago. Apparently, from what I was told,… being I didn’t get my new truck within a month of trading it (July of 2021) I had to pay the state sales tax for the full purchase price (of course none of this was disclosed to me prior...
It’ll be 13 months for me come the first. My truck did make it to the dealer last Friday but I’m now waiting on parts for 1 of 2 recalls that Ford didn’t deal with before it left Dearborn.
… actually it will now be next Wednesday at the earliest. The dealership needs to order parts for the steering column wiring harness recall. One would think that Ford would either complete the recall work in Dearborn when they had months to do it or supply a new harness when the truck was...
My truck arrived at the dealership today and I have arranged to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. They need to complete 2 recalls which may push everything back until next Monday.
Yes, I did that. I was able to track the truck by rail to the final rail destination. It’s now just sitting at the rail hub awaiting transport by truck to the dealership. Thank you though!
Funny you say that; I tried them as well. Apparently they don’t have record of my VIN. The dealership claims they use many carriers and couldn’t or wouldn’t tell me who was contracted for the move. I‘m not at all surprised with the lack of help from them. They‘ve lost my business after this deal.
Thank you. I did contact Jack Cooper and they told me that they aren’t the carrier so I think I’ll just stick with the Ordertracker app. at this point. Appreciate it.
It’s been a very long time since we were able to track progress with Jack Cooper Trucking without the fix. I don’t recall what’s needed to see if they’ve taken possession or completed a move. Any way someone that did the work around could check the status of my truck?
Mine went on CSX. I wasnt able to get any updates from the railroad until it was physically loaded onto the rail car. It then sat in the rail yard for a few days before it started in route. Even still, I saw that it was in their possession.
Your truck may still be sitting in the lot.
Obviously your situation is a bit different than mine and a number of others.
I can say that I tried to activate my truck after the build, when it allowed me to, and it has been pending ever since. I know the truck has been moved a few times and is still in route to the dealership.
I think it...
Hear ya there. Even though you’ve waiting a long time, I think in the long run your better off. At least your truck didn’t sit partially built in some parking lot these last number of months. Who knows what condition it will be in.
