  1. Lightning Power Running Boards (Option 18A) now removed for 2022 model year

So many expletives come to mind. Ugh. I very begrudgingly sent an email just now to my dealer asking to remove them. I really don’t like fixed boards, but I’d like the truck sooner rather than later :/ Thanks for the heads up, OP.
  2. I received my Lightning window sticker today!

How did you get a black interior with black leather on a Platinum? I want black leather but the Platinum comes with the Nirvana leather which is grey w/ black stripes?
  3. Lariat Power Running Boards

I also am cognizant of the tax credit phase out…but it looks like Ford will hit that in Q3 now, so likely through the end of the year it will be a full credit. ETA: Ford had ~40k to go to reach 200k units at the start of the year. They only sold ~2k Mustang Mach-Es in February, for example…...
  4. Lariat Power Running Boards

I’m the person who added both (not the OP that I know of). The $255 was the power running boards. The retractable tonneau cover was more…like around $1,500 or something I vaguely remember. That and the max recline seats were all ‘must haves’ to me, so I didn’t really care/look at the price...
  5. Lariat Power Running Boards

I just checked and mine was $255 as well. I knew it had a repeating digit but didn’t remember which one lol. It was a fraction of 1% of the truck cost, so I just didn’t care enough to actually remember at the time haha.
  6. Lariat Power Running Boards

I think it was like $225 for the power-deployable option. basically free…
  7. Lariat Power Running Boards

I sent an email that said "hi, I just submitted the order and it's waiting for you to accept. Also, please add 18A and 96J because I will want deployable running boards and retractable tonneau cover. I am aware it might delay the order and that's fine. Thanks" I got an updated Ford build...
  8. Spent time with Ford EV team & got charging tips from Mach-E Chief Engineer

I'm guessing this might be generational. My first few Teslas all had the (ugly) chrome everywhere...which many people and myself paid to have blacked out later. Now Teslas come standard with the chrome deleted...so I'm assuming they heard the feedback from the 30s and younger crowd that we...
  9. UPDATE: Lightning Build Date Scheduling Begins! Mine for the week of 4/25/22 [previously scheduled 5/2/22]!

Hahah...I had my dealer add the deployable running boards, so I'm hoping that they don't delay it too much from scheduling. IIRC, it was only like a $250 option for them.
  10. Any platinums scheduled?

I'm curious how much my highlighted options will delay my Platinum...on the gas side of things, it looks like Limiteds/Platinums are still shipping with the power deployable board and retractable covers ? ?
  11. Wave 5 Invites???

The invite I got today is for California, so this tracks.
  12. Wave 5 Invites???

For sure! I just got the confirmation email. I moved dealers on Wave 4 day after I did not get it. I realized my older dealer *had* to have been using priority spots because I was likely in the first 5 minutes. I picked a random dealer in LA and got it this week. Happy I moved the...
  13. Wave 3 Feb 3rd ~ XLT SR

Yes. I’m waiting for my day 1 reservation wave so I can order a Platinum.
  14. Lightning WAVE 2 Emails Coming 1/19 For Ordering on 1/20 – Per Ford Customer Service

I’m anxiously staring at my inbox now. I am assuming they’ll probably go out later in the day like Wave 1–but I just want to know!
  15. Anyone opting for the Lightning Platinum? Care to tell me why?

Yes, partly this. I have pretty much always had cars over $100k, so if I'm going to drive a truck--by a mainstream, non-luxury car brand--it's going to be top of the line. Additionally, the massaging seats. Helps me a ton when I'm in the car for a while. And I live in LA traffic, so...
  16. Any Chance of Improving My Odds to Order Lightning?

If curious if we are the same town. lol. What area code? 626 or 661?
  17. No powered running boards for Lightning?

I've been in a F150 without them (not mine) and it's fine. I'm 6'4" so had no problems with it, but you can tell it was a decent sized step. My 5'6" mother however needs them to get in/out.
