Long Mcarthur breakdown
I think the heads up was kind of a prescreening trap. I did not end up getting any invite so far. Maybe I could have talked myself up to Lariat, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen now. I was rationalizing trading up with the tax credit from Pro to XLT...not really trading up from XLT...
My dealer called me 2 hours ago told me I was next in line for wave 6. I think he was exaggerating a bit. I was in the middle of a business zoom call so I couldn't really talk much, but he asked me what Trim I might be interested in and I told him XLT. He said he'd get back to me. I don't expect...

They _might_ cancel the retail pro, but I think that's unlikely. If they did I'm sure they wouldn't just cancel your reservation. They'd set it to some kinda status similar to those of us uninvited.
I've talked to a couple of local dealers who claim that any customer order will be MSRP. However, they acknowledge any stock MME or abandoned MME they get will be marked up. I just saw a GT on Saturday that they are asking 5000 over. Another local dealer wants 10,000 over on his stock model just...
It might not happen for the 2022, but the 2023 is very likely to have more LFP battery chemistry. It could vary by trim levels. LFP are cheaper and more durable and that's why Tesla and other automakers are shifting in that direction. They arent as energy dense but the lower cost makes up for...
Since we can't be there with you Joe, how's it going? You ramped up to 1000 trucks a day yet? :) Would love to hear any updates on either numbers or stories of how things are moving through. Does it feel like everything's on plan?
About 1/4 of the current MY22 have scheduling dates that are concentrated in May. If they can produce 1/4 of the reservations each month then June/July/August... Sept starts MY2023 Production with orders likely in July.. Can't imagine they have to retool much of anything.
Bottom line is all the April weeks have about 9 from our forum and each may week has about 18. Will each June week have 27 or 36? Let's see that Ramp up!
I wouldn't touch Rivian at the moment. Not their truck and not their stock. There are some credible lawsuits coming out of this from an executive who was fired several months back saying that Rivian knew they couldn't deliver at the prices they were advertising, but they kept them low to keep...
It sounds like they are talking about creating/certifying these model E dealers in about 2 months from now which is pretty fast. That will take us to mid May. They could conceivably start doing Model e business(ordering) in June for MY2023. It will be interesting to see which dealers bow-out or...
I'm sure it will be fun for some to keep a muffler less ICE to drive in the small town parades 30 years from now where the kids will be fascinated by what that bizarre terrifying vehicle is.
