Do what I did, I searched for incoming trucks, cancelled the refurbished / on hold truck and bought a later build. Still had no planned ship date on April 15th (for a truck ordered the week the order books opened) when i formally walked away.
I don't buy refurbs, not a phone or an ink...
That wasn’t known at the time, as job 2’s have a tailgate option, but is that still the case? After that, probably not an option, I bet people have to take the wannabe GM tailgate. The 703a is the “all the options” model.
Had the truck one day then left town (traveling) for business, haven’t done a thing, but ya, that might be an idea. The hood letters aren’t giant, so they don’t bother me.
Ugh, that ostentatious crap was one reason I bought a job 1 platinum, no stupid tailgate vajazzle or other… I don’t need anyone knowing my truck is $110k sticker on the daily.
Reg cabs lose a higher % of their value, which ltimately may be a lower doaller amount. Buy what you want, as the sweet taste of the a deal wears thin if it's not the right deal; for you.
They destabilize the truck at the limit, Ford wants understeer, no rear bar gets that in spades. Set the rear bar too tight, and hold on to your shit when it steps out on a fast merge........
With the Hellwig, one can rotate the axle brackets to raise the bar higher than the pumpkin, i think mine was flush with the axle tubes on my 2020.
I have a Steeda sitting on my shelf at home for the 2024 platinum, so I am hoping / assuming I can do the same thing, although the height of the...
But let’s say someone has no need for lugging storing and maintaining a generator? Or a dozen other reasons related to convenience….
Sold my Genny when I got my current truck…
To each their own, I had to get 703A to get the items I wanted as they aren’t available as options, and passed my lariat down to my foreman, as a new XLT cost more, not a fan, but whatever, money fixes some issues I guess,…
My point stands, these trucks spin up at anything other than straight dry road, constantly.
If you drive like grandpa, and live somewhere paved and dry, I imagine it may not be an issue.
Ya....that's Ford, my V8 Feb build has none, my later July build eco has them, a late 2022 build.
My understanding is 3.5's have them, 5.0's do not for 2022
You must not drive an ecoboost, they can tear the tire stock on dry pavement, tuned AWD is almost needed. You need to realize others have different situations, open your mind....
I have 2 - 2022 lariats, one has IWE, the other does not, if I thought it was a good idea, driving the eco in 2H disengages the front end. Not all 2022 Lariats are without IWE's
24/7/365 4 Auto. On a tuned eco it's always doing work.
Now that Ford has smartened up the logic so it stays AWD full time below freezing, I haven't experienced a time when 4wd was needed on the road.
Previous truck I used 4 high when the roads were bad to keep the front end engaged.
Aha, yes the above is only available in the 9.75", which has been the case for a while, new that they aren't offering other gears though. Part of the crappy consolidation of option to limit variations i suppose.
