After looking at the build options, if something happens to my 2021, guess I will have to look somewhere beside Ford for a new truck. I want a nice 2WD truck, (Lariat trim or above), with sport package/BAP and a 6.5ft bed. That is no longer an option with Ford.
I was playing around just to see what a 24 version of my truck (21) would cost. Turns out can't get it like mine anymore. No Ext cab for Lariat and above, no 2WD on Lariat and above. I could live with a Crew cab and 6.5 ft bed, it would be a little long but ok. Really don't want 4WD, for...
Dealer will at best replace the battery with the same stock size which is not big enough. You could show them this attached document that show the Lariat and above should have a larger capacity battery, mine came with the 760, should have at least an 800 on page 49, I think it really needs...
Stock battery is not high enough capacity, bite the bullet, replace the battery with a H8 or H7 size battery if a Powerboost, and your issues will go away.
I bought the Interstate H8 AGM for my 2021 Lariat, not a single issue since and everything started working again. The battery cable is long enough for the extra width of the battery and the battery tray is also made to fit the H8 size.
Also I put my Stock battery into my wife's 2013 Toyota...
my 2021 is still at 6.1.0 since October, but twice today, the dash calm screen has reset and my default gauges options reset, which usually means an update has been installed, maybe it is doing it in stages.
I replaced my factory battery in my 21 Lariat with an H8 size battery and all the problems went away after a couple of weeks. The stock battery is just not high enough capacity to maintain all the systems in the train that stay on when the truck is off. Even Ford's on documents say the...
Really not seeing the whole point of this. If you want an EV buy one, why would you want an EV you have to put Gas into it. This is like the pictures you see of EV charging station powered by gas or Diesel generators, what is it really accomplishing , just making the whole thing more...
Hooked it to Fuse 21 Headlight start fuse, it doesn't come on unless the truck is running, but that will work until I feel like pulling the grille and headlight out to get to the DRL wiring, unless someone knows an easier place to access the DRL power :-)
I have installed a lightbar on my 2021 Lariat Grille, and will be installing a PUTCO LED Front badge, the instructions do not show correctly which fuse to connect to. The pictures supplied are for an older F-150.
