Something similar on latest camping trip. Used propower to keep 1300W space heater going all night in our tent. Normal cycle on and off for the first 4-6 hrs…I was listening to it from our tent before I fell asleep. Woke up at 7 am and I could hear the low idle consistent for a good hr before...
Where the grill is supposed to separate was my problem. I ended up just using brute force to wedge in between…use gloves otherwise you’ll have some annoying cuts on your hands like me. Taking off the air box is required to get to the light connector…I couldn’t get it to release so I took the...
Agreed…people have the right to their opinion…I’ll take the positive with the negative comments…its expected on the forum…folks change wheels, grills, suspension to personalize their trucks. Personally a raptor wouldn’t cut it for me with the airstream and all my cargo. I just like the amber...
There are other options you could do for the platinum...I've seen kits where you would have to individually place each led on your grill (assuming you can do that) and then splice/wire into one of the light harnesses.
Just added the raptor led grill lights from stage3/CAW. Hardware and wiring harness are top notch. A few pics after install. Giving it a 4/5 stars because the instructions are not that great…had to YouTube a few steps and figure a few out on my own.
I ended up disconnecting the stock sub…it’s garbage. I doubt you are going to get much better sound by effectively powering the sub with a different amp.
Mpg getting better over time…see latest drive from east hollywood to south bay ….overall through my 8K miles under 20 due to 3000 miles of towing our airstream….but very happy with city/urban driving
ended up going with a Rockford fosgate 12” sub and an Audiocontrol converter/amp combo. Super easy install and now I feel like I have some real bass. A few pics.
About 10 trips pulling my 3500# AIrstream...getting about 11-12 mpg in tow haul mode and about 14-15 in normal mode. Relatively flat driving mostly. Our V8 X5 was getting 10-12 depending on destination. Using 93 octane fuel on both...not sure that makes a difference or not.
I signed up for the unlimited yearly plan...as my son and wife will use when we are on long drives and campground stays where our Verizon service is weak. My son has a laptop and iPad that don't have LTE service also...so for long RV trips it's worth it to us. I also don't want them using...
