Not to wake up this thread, but I just had this issue as well in my 21 F150 PowerBoost. I was awoken this AM by a notification that my tailgate was opened. At that time, my vehicle was unlocked. I live in a very rural area and have no lights on outside where the truck is. I activated all zone...
I just received an email about a production update, but I logged into my account anyway and it said I had a production date of 6/13/22. I also found my VIN too via lookup.
I just spoke to my dealer and they said that due to the Towing Package and the Bed Liner that my order has been delayed to an unknown time. I kept mine as is though.
I still have the voicemail they left too.
Oh well.. I guess I need to wait a bit more I guess. No email and no update on the website. I wonder if this is due to the part shortages.
Ordered on the Wave 2 order date and was confirmed shortly after via email from FMC and the dealer.
Just wondering if anyone from WAVE 2 already received their VIN for their Lightning. My order was placed on 1/20, but nothing yet and the site still says "Order Placed".
Count me in as well.. I didn't see the email as it was filtered into another folder for some reason. However it was received on Friday 3/18 @ 11:49PM

Thanks again for placing your 2022 F-150 Lightning Platinum order. While we’ve been busy working to get your new vehicle into production...
Cause crap happens… lol. Anyway, regardless of the trim, I would of went with the larger battery and usually kept it around 90% SoC. If something does come up, I know I have the ability to address it. I used to have a Kia Soul EV and had a small 30 kWh or so battery pack. So I know range anxiety...

“Range - 300 miles with 1000 lb payload (I asked the definition of payload and was told it included the bed, frunk and passenger space.)”
Affordability is not something people have in their mind when it’s something they want. That’s why car salesman try to get your emotions involved when buying.
A bit of back story. I have a 21 F-150 Lariat PB, and I love the truck but I just picked it up in December cause I needed a truck/ride...
My order is in for the F150L, but if that BBB does pass, I will be screwed cause the truck is over 80K. In some ways, I am counting on it since I will have some capital gains this year and that 7500 would help towards that. However, I am not depending on it, but obviously it would help.
Software will always get updated and will always have bugs. Calculating range is pretty difficult as it has a number of variable to deal with, including payload. Is it perfect, no. However this isn’t FMC first electric car so they at least have a good idea on how to calculate range.
Also, to...
Remember that range is targeted with 1000lbs payload. I saw a few videos on YT already and without any payload it was 400+. They tarnished their reputation before with that MPG issue they had several years back, so they are being really conservative now.
