Its still has a BlueTooth to my phone, like it always was. Phone and messaging still work fine. No problems.
I thought it stored the playlist from each channel I have stored.
I could change channels and go back and listen to any song that had played since I started the truck. Not any more.
2021 PowerBoost Lariat
Since the last couple of updates, the 'Tune Start' feature of SiriusXM does not work any more.
I made sure the option is turned on in the SiriusXM settings and have even turned it OFF for a few days, turned in ON again ... no affect.
Anyone have any experience with it or...
If you have the Ecoboost 3.5, then your 2KW inverter only works when your engine is running. You dont have the PowerBoost engine which would require the Pedestrian Alert System.
Another reason to be thankful ... that you had the foresight to get the 7.2Kw PB! Congrats on saving Thanksgiving.
If you havent thought about it already, consider a manual transfer switch. Some planning with an electrician and lots of good info on here to help.
I put in a Generac transfer...
I recently had the same issue with stowing the console shifter.
The shift lever had developed 'slack' when moving from Park to Drive, or up to Reverse.
I had to push the shifter up to Reverse then slowly push it up little by little and press the Stow button. Finally, the shifter stowed into the...
You take out a single breaker and put in a tandem breaker. It turns one slot into 2 breakers. I used a couple of these to have 10 circuits in my Generac transfer switch.
If you are using the Generac 6852 Transfer Switch, you will need power (Utility or PowerBoost) to make that switch, unless you remove the front panel and switch it manually. The solenoid connected to the rocker switch needs 120V in order to work.
I connect the truck to the inlet box, turn on...
Which means you would have 2 panels for you house. They might even be side-by-side, depending on where the Transfer Switch panel is mounted. Your original panel would still house the breakers for the water heater, stove, dryer and A/C. The other house circuits (in the Transfer Switch) would be...
How did you connect the cable from your truck into the transfer switch?
You will need to run 10/3 with ground all the way in.
A 2nd ground rod is not necessary. All of the grounds should eventually connect back to the existing ground rod.
My method of testing the transfer switch by itself was...
Easiest and best don't usually turn out to be the same way. Consider the SAFEST method too.
My setup:
Generac 6852 Manual Transfer Switch
Power Inlet Box and 40ft generator cord from Amazon.
Some 10/3 w/ground, a couple of tandem breakers, misc (conduit, fittings, wire nuts, etc)
Total...
I had my first REAL test of the PowerBoost/Transfer Switch install this afternoon. A power outage (probably storm related) happened late afternoon. I waited about 5 minutes just in case it was a brief outage, then decided to put everything into action.
Pulled out the 40' cord from the utility...
I'm not an electrician, so I am not qualified to know whether it can be done as your electrician 'claims'. I do know that the neutral and ground are bonded in the truck circuitry and how they would (or could) be separated by using a different type of switch, I have no idea.
My opinion is this...
My thought is this. If they had access or information enough to prototype an aluminum cover for the ProPower panel in the F150 bed, you would think that they also had access to one of the screws to get a thread pitch and length required to attach it.
I also see no need for it. It doesnt lock...
Another 'thumbs-up' for the USB option. You can organize them in folders, add Album Art and use the Voice Interaction button on the steering wheel to play a song or album or artist.
