Short answer is it's not possible to have them remain out permanently unless you unplug the motors or disable them in some way. You can set them to stay out to wash them or whatever but as soon as you start moving they'll retract again.
10 speed, lighter body, better tuning. I'm still partial to the 12th gen trucks but in comparison to the latest, they are showing their age.
2013 FX4 5.0 would very likely be a 3.73. 3.55 is possible but they weren't very common.
I have two 5.0's in the driveway. One is a 2014 3.73 lifted on 20x10's and 35's. Mine is a 2023 3.73 leveled on 34's. The power and drivability difference between the two is insane. If I didn't know any better I'd tell you they weren't even the same basic engine.
An "all-in-one" solution would be a mid-grade cut polish. Honestly something equivalent to a V36 mid-grade cutting polish works well for a one step. With an orange pad it'll pull out the light-medium swirls without cutting back the clear too much and dulling the finish requiring more steps to...
Cquartz Sic. Off the shelf product. I actually got a bunch of expired kits on sale early last year and they've been just fine, they were just past their shelf life for the retailer.
On a black truck with some age you'll likely want to do a two or three step correction. Ceramic hardens the...
The ppf was done professionally along with the window tint. Was about $1500 for a 24" front end kit, a-pillars, leading edge of roofline, mirror caps, rockers, all 5 windows and windshield brow. I've put on PPF before but I'd never do as good of a job as my installer does.
The ceramic I did...
lots of good crown spots out west but it’s gotten way too busy now. Too many hicks. We spend most of our long weekends out in Koocanusa area now, nicer weather, GREAT water and a little more mature of a crowd. the long drive keeps some of the skids away.
Used to haul an Outlander 1000 I built...
I'm betting they will be implementing the 2023+ Superduty style flat slab dash for the upcoming heads up display option. I certainly hope the 15.5" vertical screen from the Lightning and Expedition won't be making an appearance as it's absolutely maddening to use.
From what I've seen so far the...
My 23 has metallic black caps on the tow mirrors which wasn't a thing with 21 and 22 Sport/Black appearance trucks with TT mirrors. I also get dual exhaust with the 5.0 which is awesome. Obviously if it's a BAP it's a 22 or 23. If it's a BAP with single exhaust it's most definitely a 22.
Couple...
Calgary area is home base but I have family and work between Lethbridge and GP.
You won't be disappointed.
Likewise, great colour choice but I'm biased 😉
Figured I would share my progress with my 2023 here. My goal was to build the ultimate daily driver/weekend warrior tow unit with no drivability compromises, and I have succeeded.
Started with a Lariat Black Appearance Package with the 5.0 and max tow package, 3.73 rear end, trailer tow...
Great writeup, but factory tires always have been and will always be underwhelming in my eyes. Produced to a lower cost conscious mass production standard in a different factory than the retail version of the same tires and just good enough to roll the truck along safely for reasonable enough...
I guess I'm one of the few that are ok with my build. I was credited $225 for the chmsl camera delete which I found to be a completely useless grainy POS that just looks down on my closed tonneau cover when I had it on my 2021. I was also credited $65 for the advanced security pack proximity...
Mine does this and you can really hear it with the more aggressive dual exhaust on the black package. Chalked it up to weird cam timing and dumping fuel on cold start to heat the cats quicker for emissions. Seems to not be as prevalent now that i've switched to 94 octane.
I ordered mine in April and was forced to delete the CHMSL camera and advanced security pack, but was NOT forced to delete auto start stop as I had already passed the cutoff date for Auto SS being reintroduced. Thankfully I was able to order it with 52X Auto SS Delete anyway. A week later they...
I'm convinced that there are pretty much zero vehicles left on the new market that are underpowered. Everything out there has adequate power, the diesel was no exception. It wasn't a hot rod but it had more than enough jam to get out of it's own way and serve any half ton truck needs. It was...
A hybrid diesel would be a tough call on long term reliability based on typical duty cycle of a typical half ton. Diesels don't like a whole lot of start/stop cycles that a hybrid motor would tax the engine to do, and particularly with the way SCR/DPF systems work and their need for longer runs...
Build date 9/7 and bucked straight to chip hell along with all the others my dealer had built this week.
Not really that upset as I'm not in a rush, but unfortunately I'm not price or rate protected as I snagged my Lariat BAP out of a cancelled fleet order, not worried about a price bump as I...
