  1. Ceramic coating?

So - on the wax bit - you’re saying with the ceramic coating you’re not supposed to put a regular wax, like carnauba, over it? Interesting- makes sense - but never thought of that.
  2. Ceramic coating?

I’ve been seeing between 800 and 1500 locally for the 5 to 7 year products - my main concern is being able to just do a snow foam followed by a quick 2-bucket wash and dry without having to wax the beast every few months… maybe put a coat of wax on over the ceramic every 6 months or so.
  3. Ceramic coating?

Yeah I just don’t trust myself to not mess that up - I know my limits and it just seems that while it appears easy I’ll find a way to streak it up.
  4. Ceramic coating?

Been reading a lot on ceramic coatings - as with many things it’s hard to figure out what’s just salesmanship and what’s real - wondering who on the forum has had a coating, what their thoughts are, if there are any coating brands to avoid? Just looking for any real world experience from someone...
  5. Floor mats... The great debate

If I hadn’t already got the WTs these might pique my interest - except black is the only color they seem to make and that wouldn’t go well with the interior of my king ranch. been pretty pleased with WTs overall tho and I will say the new floor liner HP is a marked improvement over the...

I’ll do the regular maintenance and I stopped driving like a pissed off teenager when I stopped being a pissed off teenager in my late 20’s - not going to be intentionally wasteful - but first sign of uneven tread wear or I feel like I’m slipping a bit too much on a wet road… just any ole “good”...

I’m in the same boat - looked at KO2s and some other options but right now I’ll save the cash until I wear the scorpions out. Will likely be keeping a close eye on that tread life tho and be at the tire guy first time they give me a reason to go
  8. F-150---- V8 Gas Mileage? What MPG Do You Get??

SCREW, 5.5 bed, fx4 and max tow so I’m running the 3.73 rear end - I baby it most of the time and I’m still in what I’d consider the break in at just under 1200 miles - going easy on the accelerator and coasting to stops I’m at 22.1 mpg according to the computer - haven’t hand calculated it yet.
  9. 2022 F-150 single cab in Race Red on 37’s

    Those tires sure are chonky!
  10. Firestone Destination X/T

Snow? What’s that? Here where it was an unseasonably cool 88 with 80+% humidity today we don’t see much snow - lots of mud, clay, and sand though. I’d imagine if they are that good in snow they’d be good in the slick dirt though.

  12. SMOKED QUARTZ F-150 (2021+) Club

after driving it for a week and seeing it in everything from rainy parking lot at night to bright daylight I have to agree the two-tone definitely brings out more of the blue hues.

  15. 06/20/22 Build Week

I’m actually learning to like the rake - Doesn’t look “off” and actually helps me see the road/whats in front of me a little better. May get some beefier tires after these wear out but other than that I think it’s perfect as is.
  16. 06/20/22 Build Week

Just curious if anyone else in here is still waiting -
  17. Firestone Destination X/T

Anyone using the Firestone Destination X/Ts? I’m thinking of upgrading from the factory rubber and want to add some better off-road/wet road performance - since I’ve got the max tow I’m wanting a tire with a hefty load index - these seem to fit the bill; wanted to see if anyone here has any...
  18. 06/20/22 Build Week

yeah - I typically leave vehicles stock - but I’m tempted to find a different tire… in all likelihood I’m going to leave these on until they wear out then go a little more aggressive
  19. 06/20/22 Build Week

I did indeed - went Thursday and picked it up in the evening; got busy at work Friday and has a campout this weekend so I’ve been tied up. The truck: Well worth the wait - put a few hundred miles on already and it rides/drives amazing. Little harder to get into the parking garage at work than...

Picked it up today - put about 150 miles between country roads and interstate on it - rides like a dream. The wait was worth it.
