  1. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

Thanks, So when running the new wire from the amp to the speakers, will I just tie the new speaker wire directly to the speaker positive and negative? Or will I need to tap into the positive and negative on the harness going to the speaker?
  2. Trying to install new sound system.

I have a thread started on here already, but my build has gone off-topic, and figured a new thread would be best. I am completely new to car audio, but thought it would be fun to learn something new. Just trying to figure out if I am heading down the right road. For reference I have a 2021...
  3. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

Because if there is an item that can do the same thing and cost 30 times less then I would rather do that.
  4. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

If anyone could chime in and tell me if I am correct on this it would be greatly appreciated! So I got the JBL 6x9 & 6.5" speakers for the front and back of the truck. Looking to add an amp for the 4 speakers and want to put a Kicker HS10 in the rear. Want all of this to work with the truck as...
  5. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

From all my research they are, however not looking to spend that kind of money. Just want something that can be louder and clearer. So likely as suggested a 5-channel amp with the JBL GTO speakers will do, and trying to find a simple sub and box around $200 that can fit behind my back seat will...
  6. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

So after purchasing the speakers and doing some more research, I have come to find out that my truck (basic audio package NON B&O) has no amplifier. Would be thankful if anyone could shed some light on this. Does this mean the speakers will still be very quiet and distorted at higher levels...
  7. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

I found in another thread that you suggested a kicker keylock with the hs10. have you already used this product on your f150 so you know the front door wires pulls thecorrect frequency for this sub, and if so would all f150s be the same? If so, would you suggest that product to run the “pink...
  8. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

got the wire harnesses and plate adaptors. Don’t have the funds for block off plates, but did get soundskins, deadener, and some weatherstripping. Went with the JBL GTO series for the speakers. waS trying to keep it under $300. like the idea of the powered subwoofer down the road, but may not...
  9. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

Will be making another thread regading this. Hoping to do it in the coming month or two, and pretty sure I have it figured out. Likely will not be doing the sub at that time, but we will see.
  10. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

Thanks again, Confused about which type of foam/insulation you are suggesting though. Are you just saying to put a foam ring around the outside diameter such as the photos show below and another foam puck behind the magnet or the back plate?
  11. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

Thanks for the suggestion! What exactly do you mean by tapt he front door speakers?
  12. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

I actually found these as I was doing some more digging. A few questions if you dont mind. 1. When you say "the modest ford amp" you are implying the amp is already installed in the truck correct, there is no need to add one? 2. When you are referring to "insulation foam trim" are you...
  13. Replacing front & rear speakers with Kicker CS series

To start, I am completely new to audio altogether. The rear speakers blew on my 2021 f150 supercrew cab with the basic audio package. Just looking to replace the front and rear door speakers at this time, and maybe do a sub with an amp down the road if I can find something that is around...
  14. Yokohama Geolandar G015 LT285/60R20

Thanks! Its a 2” level with the g015 285/60. It does have max tow.
  15. Yokohama Geolandar G015 LT285/60R20

That makes sense, I do city driving with a good bit of hills and stop lights. Still getting about 18 to 19 in the city with the lift. Curious to see what the mpg is on the highway. the ride is almost identical without the lift though. Pretty happy with the outcome.
  16. Yokohama Geolandar G015 LT285/60R20

Thanks! That's good MPG. You must drive downhills both ways, cause even driving like a granny I'm getting between 18 and 19 mpg. Will admit though, they drive almost identically to the stock tires. I am not hearing any noise, they may be just a little stiffer, but it's so minimal it may just...
  17. Yokohama Geolandar G015 LT285/60R20

Out of curiosity, what PSI are you keeping yours at? Just got mine today (same size) and they are currently at 50 psi. Curious to know if you had played with it at all and got better MPG/ride at different psi.
  18. TOYO OPEN COUNTRY A/T III - SIZE: 275/60R20 SL Rated

Looking to get new Toyo AT3 SL rated tires on the truck (2021 F150 XLT with Powerboost). Rarely do I haul much other than 3 or 4 times a year if I help people move, however, I load up the bed of the truck for camping and fishing with tents, coolers, and typical stuff. As far as offroading goes...
